Chapter one
My name is Braelynn , once upon a time, I lived in Elmore City, Oklahoma. I love to dance but when the mayor banned dancing for all kids. I got upset because the mayor is my dad. So I left home to find a place where I could dance without getting in trouble. I found this town. It look like Hollywood but without the lights and traffic. It smelled like it was by an ocean I started to wonder if I could dance there. I walked down the street and found a diner. The diner seem to be one of the older one in the 60’s style diner, I found an empty seat and sat down to wait for someone to come out so I could ask them about the town. Soon this guy walked up, looked at me, and asked me what I needed. I asked ''Is it legal to dance here because where I'm from it is illegal to dance.” He said, ''Yes, it is legal to dance; this is Leiper's Fork, TN.” said, “If you don't mind if I ask; what is your name? “My name is Ashley and yours"? “My name is Braelynn.” “It's a pleasure to meet you Braelynn! Would you like to have lunch with me?” The boy asked. “Sure.” I said.
After spending just a few weeks together, we decided to date. I went online occasionally to see was going on in my hometown. I had been in Leiper's Fork for 3 years when I found out my dad passed away. Ashley knew about my past. He knew I left home because of my father’s laws, so he said he would go to the funeral with me. Right after Ashley got off of work, we headed back to my hometown. I was nervous because I had not seen my mother in 3 years. When we got to my hometown, we went to my old house. We got out of the car and saw my mom through the window. I started to turn around and run back to the car, but Ashley stopped me and asked" What is wrong?" I replied, “I haven't seen my mother in 3 years! What I'm supposed to say to her?"
