Mistake or New Opportunity?

I am sorry if these stories sound like they are written by two different people you need to understand I started these when I was a freshman in high school and now I am going into my senior year and I had taken creative writing/speech, journalism, and novels last school year and have learned to write more accordingly. I mean I got an F on a history paper because I used some words my teacher didn't know existed! I mean how ludicrous*? Ohh and one more thing if I put a word like ludicrous I will put the definition of how I used it down here with an asterisk (*) by the word in the text. I am sorry if that will offend you but some people will not know what some words mean. If my teacher didn't make me write the dictionary for punishment I would never have learned them myself. sorry, I prattle* too much :#
P.S. ludicrous: foolish or ridiculous prattle: talk of one's feelings

Oh and also I am just proof reading as I write them so I do tend to make a lot of run on sentences still like I used too. its a major problem I need to work on. anyway let me know what you think the story needs, the romance will come later in the story I need to research I have no idea what to do for it:#
