After a couple of hours, I'd put all my things away and I was currently eating dinner with my father and his wife. "How did you settle in?" Casey, my father's wife, asked me smiling softly. I hummed slightly. "Okay." I reply shortly. She just nodded and continued eating.

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. I jump as a phone started to vibrate and ring. My father sighed as he grabbed his phone answering it, quickly moving into another room. "Does he do that often?" I asked without thinking. "Sometimes. He's a very busy man with a very demanding job." she shrugged. I nodded. "Oh."

After about 20 minutes, my father returned. "I'm sorry about that. Andy called to see if we was still on for tomorrow." Andy? Who's Andy? Was it someone my father worked with? Or is he a friend? Guess I'll find out sometime right? Casey smiled. "Okay. Maybe you should take Mariah with you tomorrow." Iooked at her surprised. Surely not. That wouldn't be allowed. Would it? My father smiled and nodded. "Maybe. Would you like to Mariah?" I shrugged. "Why not?" I mean, it can't be much harm... Right?
