My Immortal Love

“Surprise! Our new home, it's big enough for everyone to have their own room and bathroom so no more accidents.” CC took Raven by the hand and he led her up a flight of stairs and down one of the larger hallways. “This is your room, it's one of the bigger ones with its own bathroom and a closet big enough for all your things.”

“CC, it's perfect. Would you like to help me unpack?” Raven opened up a box of her dresses and she carefully put each one on a hanger and placed it them in the closet. “Oh look CC, it's the boots you gave me my first real morning at the old house, I wonder if they still fit.”

“Possibly, I'll try them on later. Which box do you want me to go through?” CC just stood there among the forest of boxes. “The closest box is the box your pants and shirts are in.”

“Then open that one, I will open this box next.” Raven opened a box she had forgotten to label and she stopped. “This box...it has all our clothing from the night of the accident...why were these kept?”

“Andy insisted we keep them, I told him it wouldn't be a good idea because it was not the best memory to keep but you know Andy...he does what he wants.” CC folded another shirt and placed it in the dresser behind Raven who closed the box back up and set it aside. “Just a couple more boxes, shoes...bedding and other stuff.”

Raven opened the box marked other stuff and pulled out her jewelry box, her hair styling tools and her makeup bag. “Hey! My makeup bag, now that I've found it maybe we can go out later.”

“That is a really good idea! I have something I want to show you and maybe we can grab a bite afterwards.” CC opened the box for bedding and he helped Raven make her bed. “Any idea what you are going to wear?”

Raven went through her clothes and pulled out her bandage wraps, studded vest and her pinstripe flare leg pants. “Be right out.” She took her time to wrap the bandages in the same manner that Ashley did. “Now for my pants...carefully bring them up over the bandages.” My makeup bag! CC could you please hand me my makeup bag?” She stuck her hand out of the bathroom door and CC handed her the little bag. “Thank you.” Raven threw on her vest and pulled her hair back.

“You almost ready? I've already got my hair done...I just need to borrow your eyeliner.” CC said from the vanity beside the dresser. “I'm also stealing a pair of your earrings.”

“Go ahead, it's not like I don't have several pairs to spare. By the way...I'm ready to go.” Raven tossed CC her eyeliner.

“You look amazing, so where do you want to go after I show you the special thing?” CC popped the cap off the eyeliner and lined just the bottom of his eyes. “Let's go.”



“Let's just shop at the mall and then maybe go to Panera for a good salad.” Raven replied and they left the house after telling Jake where they were going. “I wonder what it is that you want to show me.”

CC chuckled and they drove off towards the mall. “Just wait and see, now tell me something, that first day you were with us you made breakfast, I watched you mix up the pancake batter what was the song you were mixing to? I saw there was a pattern but I couldn't place it.”

“Oh...that...yeah...I put my iPod on shuffle and the first song to play was Faithless. Looking back maybe playing Black Veil Brides in the home of Black Veil Brides was a little weird.” Raven looked a little embarrassed to admit that her fan girl tendencies got the better of her. “But in all honesty even before I met you guys, your music always put my mind at ease.”

“Not weird at all, we all have something that puts us at ease. I act like a goofball on set because it helps me keep calm and focused while I drum.” CC turned the car off and he got out of the car. “Close your eyes, I'll lead you from here.”

“Okay...CC what on earth do you have planned?” Raven giggled and she closed her eyes tight, she could feel CC take her hand and help her out of the car. “Ok, even if you won't tell me what it is you have planned, please don't let me fall.”

“Never in a million years will I let you fall, now come, you will love what I have to show you.” CC led Raven through the parking lot and into the mall where he was to show her the biggest surprise he could think to show her. “Ok, open your eyes.”

“Oh CC, this...this is amazing. An official Black Veil Brides merch shop.” Raven looked around the store and she was in awe of how beautifully it was put together. The ebony walls lined with silver shelving and speckled with crystals to look like stars. “Oh my goodness, you used our portraits to mark the ladies clothing, how creative!”

“And I even had group photos and shots from our shows blown up and framed as décor. Oh and one more thing.... I had special necklaces made to celebrate the official announcement of our being together.” CC took a box from behind the counter and popped open the flaps. “I had an extra few made aside from the inventory for the girls of Black Veil Brides, turn around.”

Raven turned her back to CC and pulled her hair around to the front so he could get the necklace tied in the back. “It's beautiful CC, I will cherish it always.” They both stood there in each other’s arms and it felt like time stood still for just that moment.

“Now, you go shopping and I won't be far behind.” CC kissed Raven on the forehead and sent her on her way.

“I'll be in Hot Topic.” Raven left the store and went on to Hot Topic where unknown to her, her worst dreams would come to pass.





“The clearance rack, I know CC says I shouldn't worry about prices but I do and plus I always find the most interesting things back here.” Raven flipped through the clothing on the sale rack trying to find that one piece that was just interesting enough for her to buy. “Oh, these boots are nice and half off.” She picked out a few pairs of boots, a pair of jeans and some new eye shadows for her makeup bag.

“Did you have a nice shopping trip?” The pale, blonde cashier asked Raven who was digging through her purse for her wallet.

“What's my total?” Raven pulled her wallet from her purse and she dug out her credit card. “And I did have a wonderful shopping trip, thanks for asking.”

“$68.37. You have a wonderful day...Eruanna.” The cashier's voice was raspy and Raven saw a glimmer in his eyes that struck fear deep into her being.

“No... How did I not see...? You stay away from me Alyan!” Raven grabbed her bag and ran out of the store as quickly as her legs would carry her, she left a pile of frost where she had stood. “CC!” She screamed, knowing...hoping...that CC's ears would hear her cries.


“Your lover cannot save you. You will be mine Eruanna, your parents agreed to it.” Alyan landed in front of Raven who swung at him with her ice staff. “Ha! You still have that staff...cute...but you cannot win against me.” Alyan summoned an ice shard and bashed Raven in the head, knocking her out.


CC heard Raven's cries for help and ran through the mall at lightning speed. He arrived at the corner nearest the exit to see a large ice demon hauling Raven over his shoulder and grinning. “You let her go!”

“Never.” Alyan simply said and he vanished, with Raven over his shoulder, in a swirling vortex of ice and snow.

“Raven!” CC was too late he dropped to his knees where Raven had been and he picked up the necklace he had given her only moments ago. “I will get you back...” He picked his cell phone out of his pocket and dialed Andy's number. “Gather the guys....and Juliet...tonight we go to Khelek.” He stormed out of the mall (carrying Raven's things so she would have something nice to come home to after he rescued her) and he went to go prepare for battle.



“Dude, CC, why are we going to Khelek?” Jake asked from the far corner of the living room where he assumed he would be safe from CC's rage.




“To rescue Raven...that guy she told me about...Alyan...he kidnapped her right in front of me and I couldn't even do anything about it. I was too slow.” CC sharpened the blade of his mostly fully functional Soul Eater scythe. “Andy, where is Juliet? We need her weaponry skills...yeah I can slice and dice but she has real skills.”

“She said she'll meet us in Otherworld. How's she's going to get there, I have no idea.” Andy replied while swirling little knives around his pointer finger. “But anyway, when we do get to Khelek, how do you plan to beat this guy or are we going in guns blazing?”

“You guys will be my backup, Ashley will heal Raven to the best of his ability and I will kill Alyan.” CC sheathed his sword and ripped open a blood pack. “We need to get to the library, there's a portal to Otherworld there.”


“You have arrived; Nyx has told me of your quest. I have the portal ready, your friend is already waiting for you with the Goddess. Follow me.” Remora ushered everyone to the back of the library and showed them where the portal was. “Please be careful, this foe you look to fight. He is powerful.”

“Powerful or not, he has stolen my love from me, my passion and rage will aid me in defeating him.” CC stepped through the portal, followed by his friends and they came out the other side and saw they had entered Otherworld. “This must be where Nyx is.”

“You are correct; we don't have much time for formalities. Now I have been keeping an eye on Raven and she isn't doing well at all...so to aid you all I give you all a gift. Ashley, your healing abilities will be heightened. Jake, your combat skills will double. Jinxx, your fire magic has been expanded to all elements. And the rest of you, your skills and weapons are enhanced and enchanted.” Nyx touched them all and marked them with full moons. “Now go and save Raven.”

The group was led by Nyx to the portal that led to Khelek and they walked through. “Now, to find Raven. I think I can find her scent...” CC smelled the air around him and he picked up on something that was different than the other scents around him. “I think I found her, let's go.”

He followed the scent through alleys and around corners until he came upon a red brick house that was covered in ice and snow. “The scent ends here...”

Being slightly shorter than the others, Jake crouched down and ran to the window that was lit up and saw that it was a basement. He looked around the room and saw in the corner a figure chained to the wall, looking battered and bruised. Jake heard a voice coming from the other side of the room and he ducked down.

“So Eruanna, where is your so called lover now? A week has passed and there has been no sign of him. I told you before and I will tell you again, no one will love a poor, damaged girl like you. Cast from society because her parents were too proud.” Alyan taunted Raven, he lifted her chin with a single finger. “With this in mind, will you be my bride?”




Raven spat in Alyan's face. “Never, CC will come for me...he has to.” She snarled at Alyan and he bashed her in the head, knocking her out and leaving a bloodied gash on her head. “If I can't have you, no one will.” He left the basement and when Jake could see that the room was clear, he waved over CC and the others.

Ashley saw Raven hanging from chains, broken and bruised. “I have to get to her first...I have to try and heal her. Does anyone have a spare sword I can use to break those chains?”

“No need, Nyx said all elements. Metal is a sub-element of earth.” Jinxx held his out in the direction of the chains and concentrated on the earth particles within, when he found the earthen particles he crushed his hand together like he was crushing a fly and the chains shattered.

“I got you Raven. I will do my best to heal your wounds...inside and out.” Ashley knelt beside Raven and laid her head in his lap. “This isn’t going to be easy, she is so damaged on the inside.” He placed his hands on Raven’s head and stomach and with his eyes closed he started to chant in Raven’s native tongue.

CC was enraged, his eyes glowed crimson and he let off this low guttural growl. “He will pay…” CC sliced up through the floor with such force it split neatly in two and he jumped through the hole. “Alyan, time to die!” He sliced diagonally left at Alyan’s head but missed because Alyan flew up to the ceiling with a single flap of his wings.

“Christian Coma, you actually came for her, I’m shocked really.” Alyan chuckled. “She is damaged goods, just leave her here with me and I will let you go free.”

“Never will I leave her behind. I love Raven and nothing will ever change that!” CC slashed with his scythe again, slicing Alyan’s wing in half. “Now it is an even fight!” He charged at Alyan with his fangs bared and scythe raised.

“I don’t need my wings to fight you, weakling!” Alyan extended his claws out to block CC’s sword. “You cannot defeat me Coma, I am a demon and you are nothing more than a weak vampire.”


Jinxx saw CC was in trouble and he threw a fireball up through the hole in the floor. It grazed Alyan’s leg which caused him to stumble back.

CC saw the opportunity to end the fight. “Never again will you torture Raven.” He dug his fangs into Alyan’s throat, ripped off a chuck of flesh and drained Alyan dry. When he was done, CC crushed Alyan’s skull in with the heel of his boot and ripped off his horns. “I can carve these up into something…”

“Dude, vicious…but let’s go, Raven needs the help of Nyx.” Ashley picked up Raven and they went back to the portal. They were almost there when a couple of ice demons stopped them. “Excuse us…please don’t be afraid, we know what happened at Alyan’s and we are ever so grateful he is dead.”

“Um, ok…I don’t mean to sound rude but who are you?” Juliet stood between Ashley and the couple, she had her knives at the ready just in case they were to attack.



“We completely understand, we are Erunna’s parents. I’m Cauladra and this is my husband, Silvyr. We knew from the beginning that Alyan was trouble, but it was so important that we find Eruanna a husband…at least we thought it was important.” Cauladra took down her hood. “We saw you fight Alyan, just to save our daughter…thank you and I know we have no right to say this, but we have been watching Eruanna and we see how you love and care for her. We just want you to know that you have our blessing for her hand.”

CC looked to Cauladra who he could see looked so much like Raven and he could see the guilt in her eyes and in her heart. “I thank you for your blessing. I must get Raven to Nyx, she needs healing.”
