Reunited

Chapter Two

Friday morning, I drove to LAX to pick up my parents. They both had a serious look on their faces, and that worried me. Usually they are beyond excited to see me. Seeing as I am their only child, we all were close when I was growing up.
The car ride to my house was deathly quite. I was too nervous about the "news" they had for me so I couldn't think if anything to talk about.
Skiprestofcarride, Andyandhisfamilyatenowathishouse.
"So, what is this news you guys had to talk to me about?" I asked them once their bags were in the guest room and we were sitting on the sofa. Juliet was out with friends so it was just my parents and myself.
My parents looked at one another, my mother had a sad and worried expression in her eye.
"Guys, what is it?"
My father spoke up, seeing as my mother looked like she was about to cry.
"Just know Andy, we didn't tell you this to protect you. We didn't want you to be hurt or upset."
My heart skipped a beat. All these crazy situations were flying through my head. Was I adopted? Is one of them really sick? Am I sick? And I just don't know about it?
"Guys, please tell me what's going on."
My father sighed before he continued. "Andy, before you were born, your mother and I had another child. But we were both to young at the time, so she was put up for adoption," my father paused, letting me take this all in. I didn't believe it, I had an older sister? "She recently got in touch with us, wanting to know if it was okay with us if she could possibly meet you."
The room was filled with a loud silence. I had an older sister. One I never knew about. I didn't know what to say, I felt confused, angry, sad, but most of all: happy and received. Still pissed they didn't tell me though.
"Your kidding, I have an older sister and you both didn't feel like it was important enough to tell me?" I said stand up from the sofa and basicly yelling at them.
"Andrew! We didn't know if we were ever going to tell you. The only reason we did is because she reached out to us and we felt as if it wouldn't be fair to you if you didn't have a say in it." My mother said, standing up as well. For someone so short, she still scared me.
I huffed, and turned my pissed off glare away from them. "I want to meet her." I said, more to myself than my parents.
"Andrew, think about it." My father said.
"I did. And I want to meet her." I snarled, and walked up to my room, closing the door behind me. I didn't talk to my parents for the rest of the night.
