The Story Of The Wild Ones: Goodbye Agony

Chapter 3: Nova's Truth Unfolds

I just looked around at everyone who was now looking at me. I didn't know why Raven did this and for some reason, The Prophet refused to speak to me. I was trying to get him to answer me but it was like he only talked when he wanted to. I looked at Aiden who just nods thinking that I should just tell everyone about who is down in the cave, that I have flash backs of what happen in the past wars. I just looked down at my feet. I could have really used The Prophet's words about now.

"Nova, this is our family. We need to tell them what's going on because if we are going to go get the others. We need a army to back us up. Meaning it's time to put anyone that is fighting age to training." Aiden just put his hand on my should and smile down at me. I just nodded and look to the rebels who been following behind me for the last 10 years since I got here.

"Fine, I know how to beat Fear because I know where The Prophet is. When the cave open 5 years ago, I walk down there not thinking of anything about it. I thought it was something to do with Fear, as I walk through the tunnel. I came to this room with a small lake in the middle of it. As I walked closer to the lake, I found a coffin just sitting there. I walked up to it and put my hand on it. The coffin started to glow and I knew it was different then anything we seen. I fell back ready to run, then I got the first flash back. It was the day after the last fight, The Wild Ones beat Fear. The Prophet was injury but instead of taking care of himself, he worry about everyone else. A few months later, he ended up dying in The Deviant's arms." I sigh a bit remember that. I didn't tell them about my room because I didn't want anyone to come there else they really needed me.

"So The Prophet was in the cave because that's where they put him?" The little girl just looked at me with hopeful eyes. "Why isn't he here, with us now? I want to met him! My parents told me the story of them how great they were."

"That's the thing, yes he's there. But the others are not. He told his brothers to move on without him. I had a flash back again when Raven talked about my great grandmother Eve dying. I seen the day that she died. It is the reason the why the first war started, Fear's leader at the time was Will, the grandfather of Raven. He killed my grandmother just to get the Wild Ones to agree with a war. Then that night I had another flash back and found The Deviant. Now him and The Prophet are together, but there is three more missing." I just looked at Aiden and reached out to hold his hand, he squeezed my hand and smile before turning his attention to the rebels.
"We are telling you this because I think it's right for all of us to know about The Wild Ones! We are the new Legion Of The Black! We must stick together and bring back our leaders! Anyone ready to fight, put your fist to the air!" Aiden and I held our fists to the air, along with everyone else in our camp. "Then find weapons, teach the younger ones to fight and protect themselves. We will not let Fear win this!" Everyone cheer and I could feel the smile on my face.

"You did well Nova. You have an army behind you now. Don't worry about me and Ashley, the cave is seal off, Fear won't be able to enter it. You can thank Jinxx for that one. He is known as the Mystic for a reason." I smile hearing The Prophet's voice, I knew he was there. I still think he was testing me.

"Aiden, we need to go look through things that belong to my grandparents and parents. We need to try and find out how to get hints where the others are." I look at all the rebels again and notice they were all doing as told. I walk back to my room, with Aiden right behind me and just pulling out books. As soon as I touched the one book that had the name Zeke Black on it. I was send into another flash back.

(flash back)

I was standing in the room that is now mine. There was a boy there writing in a notebook. I could tell he was related to me, just by the hair color. He seem to be just sitting in the room alone. We both look up as soon as we heard the door open to see that it was Jade Black. She just smiled a bit, she was a lot older now, in her teens so the boy in front of me was about 5.
"Zeke, what you doing here? You know your grandfather is going to be mad." She sigh and walk up to him and sit down next to him. "So what are you writing about?" Jade seem to be a really sweet person and then it hit me, this 5 year old was her son.

"Nothing mom, just writing. I want to be like The Prophet mom! He's azaming and really smart! They all are smart." He grin at her and she just laughed at him.

"Maybe someday you can lead your own army. But right now, you're just a kid and I'm 20 so give it up kid. They aren't going anywhere, we rule this town." She kissed the top of Zeke's head and just watching him draw and write.

"I wouldn't stay that, I think he would be a good leader if he wanted to be." They both looked up and smile seeing The Prophet with a big grin on his face. I could tell this took place between the first and 2nd war. "I mean really, if he puts his heart to it Jade, he can be whatever he wants to be." He just laugh.

"I know, he's a good kid. But really he needs to get to bed soon." Jade got up and giving Zeke a kiss on the forehead before going over and hugging The Prophet. She walked out the door, leaving the two of them alone.

"Do you know who use to own this room? Don't know if Jade really talks about her." The Prophet sat down next to Zeke, picking up old notebooks that were laying around.

"I know she was my grandmother, and I know my grandfather gets really mad at me when I come in here to write. But I feel safe in here and my mind is open to draw and write in peace without worry." He stopped and looked up at the The Prophet. "You knew my grandmother right? What was she like?"

"She was a wonderful person. She was just like any of the rebels, doing things she wanted to do without a care in the world. She got a lot of hate for what she did. We all did, but she never let it get to her. One of the most favorite saying is never give in, never back down. Them 6 words go along way if people put their mind, heart and soul into what they want to do. You just have to know who you are as a person." He smile at the kid before getting up. "But right now, you should get to bed. It's late." He walk out of the room and Zeke was back being alone.
"He's right, if I want to be like them. I need to work hard!" Zeke got up and running out of the room shutting the door before running of to his room to go to bed.

(End of Flash Back)

I just laugh a bit while reading, I found out as Zeke got older, Jade had two more children and he would help his mom take care of them. But I had to stop reading because it was getting late. I needed to go with Aiden in the morning to find more food, water and items for clothes and weapons. I ended up falling asleep thinking of all the things we needed to work on tomorrow.

*A Month Later*

It's been an month later, I haven't seen fear coming around since that day that Raven out me to everyone. The Prophet has been quiet lately, I'm really starting to think that he's quiet because he's watching what happens. I was walking around the camp, just looking at everything that's been going on. Aiden was with the others, to go food and water for us. It really suck being in the waste land like this but it was either here or back with living under Fear and none of us wanted that. I been waiting for another flash back again, but haven't had one since I started reading about Zeke.

I kicked the stone down the street and looking around, some of the smaller rebels were playing games like kick ball in the middle of the street. I lean against the wall and closed my eyes. I wish I never did this because as soon as I closed them. I ended up being sucked into another flash back.

(Flash Back)

It was a few years later, Zeke was much older now. He was dressed in war paint and was ready for war. I seen all the legion working on getting ready, they were making flags, weapons and anything they could get their hands on. I seen The Wild Ones just standing there and talking , The Prophet was showing them something on the map, so I followed Zeke over to the map.

"Hey guys, can I help with anything?" He smile a bit and The Prophet looked at him.

"We are only planning right now Zeke. We can't make any moves until we know how to get into that building. Fear has the place on tight lock down. To get in there right now, we will have to go through the front door." The Prophet looked over at the map that I could tell was the building that Fear forced everyone to live in the city with them.

"I say we go in the front door. We have enough to take them on. I know you want to protect everyone Andy but this is war. If we be too careful, then it's going to end up bad for us. We need to go in fast and strong." The Destroyer said and just looked back down at the map.

(End of Flash Back)

I hold my head a bit and looked around me to see that the children were all around me. They all had worry faces on them and looking like they were about ready to cry. "I'm fine little ones. I just ended up having a flash back, everything is good kids. You can go back to playing." I smile at them and kneel down.

"Nova, please tell us what The Wild Ones were like in your flash backs? We all know they are the good guys but what are they like?" The kids question.

"They seem like wonderful people, they protect everything and think about the best way to do things. They care for children and like me will not allow them to fight fear. They all seem happy, and share the loves that go around. I really can't wait to meet them all. They are great guys from what I see so far." I smile softly at them.

"But why are they not here? Are they sleeping?" The one boy had asked me.

"I like to think that they are just sleeping. I know there is so much more to them, but yes they are sleeping and they won't be waking up soon. We have to find the other three guys and then they will all wake up and we can greet them. Not run long, and go play. I need to get some things taking care of." I smile at the kids and they all ran off to go play their game again. I made my way back over to my house. It's been a long day and I could tell that Aiden and the others would be out late tonight. I mean Fear been staying out of the city but as soon as you stepped out of the city, that's when they show up.

I walked around the city some more and decided to go into the cave. I walk up to the coffin and just sat there looking at it. I wanted to find the others faster but it would be too much I guess. I closed my eyes and trying to think about my parents. I felt at peace in this cave.

"You shouldn't worry so much. I told you before, they will let you know when to find them. You are right, our bodies are just sleeping but this cave has a power to it." The Prophet voice coming into my mind agian.

"What do you mean that it has a power to it? And I want to know what happen to you. How bad was that wound of your?" I been thinking about Andy's injury after seeing what happen to Ashley. Something told me he was hiding something from me or I just didn't get to that part yet.
"Yes the cave has a power, it lets you able to heal fast even if you're body is nothing more then a body. As for what happen to me, I know you been seeing Zeke, he would be your grandfather. He's a good kid. He always wanted to follow us around so when we went to war with Fear the 2nd time. He wanted to be right there behind us if not beside." He seem to sigh sadly.

"Tell me, will the flash back tell me what happen to you more?" I know I was pushing my luck with him but I just needed to know.

"It will probably at some time when it's ready to. I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you much. I was busy." He seem to be fading away again.

"Before you go, why can I only hear you but none of the others. I mean Ashley is here now so why can't I talk to him?" It was a simple question.

"Because not all of us can talk to you. That's my job to do the talking. I am called Prophet for a reason. You really need to get to bed Nova. You never know when Fear will come walking in, just stay strong. Things will fall into place and remember, I'm always here even if you can't see me."

I smiles, "Thank you Andy." With that, I walked out of the cave and closing the door before going back to my room. All I wanted to do was be outside there with Aiden and the others or sleep. I couldn't go out there though, Aiden wouldn't have let me.

Because of the threat that Raven made to me, Aiden wouldn't let me leave the city in fear that Raven would come looking for me or worse, kidnap me and make me find the others for him so that I could be killed and the guys would never come back. I walked into the my room and decided to get some sleep. I know what was coming soon and I was afraid of that day.

***

I know this isn't as long as the other chapters and no cliffhanger this times. Though I have more plans in Chapter 4. So don't worry, I'll have them up as soon as I can.
