I am a Good Girl

Hayden's POV

I was confused.
Why did CC need to talk to me? I needed to talk to him about what happened... Unless...
I followed CC into the house and sat on one of the couches. I looked at him expectantly, but he was pacing, as if trying to find the words.
"Is everything okay Babe?" I asked in a small voice.
CC seemed to shake his head, cringing at the sound.
"Don't call me Babe" he said sternly. "I thought I knew you. I thought you loved me, but it turns out I've been the biggest idiot. I'm just a joke to you" He glared at me.
"What the are you talking about? CC I love you. More than anything!" I said, standing in place, feeling tears well in my eyes.
"Why did you want to talk to me?" He cut me, bluntly.
I swallowed back the lump in my throat, but I couldn't bare to look at him. "I cheated on you. The day you left for Warped, me and Simone went out and I got so drunk that I didn't even know what I was doing! I'm so sorry!" Tears were silently streaming down my cheeks.
CC scoffed. "That's all? Got anything else to add?" He shrugged.
Again I was confused "What? No! CC, I came to talk to you about this cause I don't want to lose you!" I cried, looking for forgiveness in his face.
"Ashley told me everything" he said flatly, judgement written all over his face. "You lied to me from day one! You told me you and Ashley were just friends and that nothing had happened. I asked you point blank have you slept with Ashley and you lied" he said sharply.
It stung. It stung that this is what has hurt him so much.
I was too hurt to move. The fact that he was throwing all this at me, I felt so bombarded.
"Would it have made any difference? That me and Ashley have been together?"
"It does make a difference! I thought you were smarter than other girls! I thought you were the type of girl who didn't get played by guys. But turns out Ashley played you the most" he shook his head in disappointment.
I took a deep breath and walked over to where CC stood. "Look, I don't know what Ashley told you, but I love you, not Ashley. You are the best thing to happen to me and if I lose you, I couldn't ever forgive myself!" I continued.
"I can't believe that Ashley is still playing you. He told me what happened between you two, during our relationship. How you willingly kissed him and pushed for sex. That doesn't tell me that you love me."
Now I was getting mad. "Ashley has told you lies! But you are right, he has been playing me. I'll admit, I've had a crush on him for a long time, but he had no interest. When me and you got together, all of sudden he would say things that made me think there was something deeper, but he always took it back. I told him that I love you. I promise you, there was only one mishap. You have to believe me CC! He is just so confused that he's blurring my vision too!"
"I believe you. But I can't forgive what you've done. I can't trust you. And if there's no trust, there's nothing. We're done Hayden" he said with sadness.
I looked up at his eyes and there was no remorse. I could tell he was holding his anger in, but he knew yelling wouldn't make any of this better.
With that, I dried my eyes, picked up my bag and slammed the door behind me.
