Hayden's POV

The following week I had made plans with Ashley after his personal training session. It had been so long since we last saw each other and were able to talk.
After his session, we headed over to my apartment to shower and change before going out to get a late dinner.
I waited for Ashley to finish getting ready, quickly giving myself a once over.
Just simple, distressed blue jeans, tight black top and knitted cardigan with an Aztec design. I wasn't trying to impress anyone.
I pulled out my phone to see I had a message from CC.
Hey babe, got any plans this weekend?The text read.
"Okay, I'm ready. Let's go I'm starving!" Ashley said, trying to rush me out the door.
"One sec, I need to reply to this."
"Text and walk Hayds!" Ashley hurried, opening my front door.
No, why? I texted back.
I slid my phone back into my bag, hoping CC wouldn't message me back for a while.
*ding ding*
"Who the hell is texting you? I'm right here so it's not me" Ashley joked, but I could tell he was annoyed.
"It's okay. I'll message them back later" I shrugged.

When we finally got to sit down and relax, Ashley quickly melted into himself.
"So, where you been sexy? Barely seen you this week" he complained.
"I know, it's been crazy. Classes just started back and my work schedule is full on. I literally haven't had a moment to breathe" I sighed.
"Surely you've got a moment to breathe" Ashley mumbled, grabbing the menu from the middle of the table.
"Hmmm, no. Me and Simone have been studying like crazy. The course just got intense" I said, leaning over the back of my chair to stretch my spine.
"Simone? Who is Simone? She sounds hot" Ashley said, perking up.
"Hey, the last I checked you were my manwhore. I already told her to get her own" I spoke sternly.
"I can't be your manwhore if I'm not sleeping with you. You've blown me off all week" he shrugged, looking at me with disappointment.
"Well, Simone doesn't want to have one night stands anymore" I said, not looking at him.
"Did I mention Simone? I'm talking about you. Where you been? Seriously?" His voice calm, but concerned.
"I've been busy."
"What? Too busy for coffee or sex? I only see you at the gym, even then you're working."
I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Ashley, you know been seeing CC. We're not a thing anymore. I thought we talked about this" anger coming out in my tone.
"Oh... Are you still seeing him?" He looked slightly shocked.
"Yeah. I really like him, Ash" I smiled, trying to soften our conversation.
"Have you slept with him yet?" The curiousity killing him.
"No. We decided to take it slow."
"That's a first for you..." Ashley commented with sarcasm.
"Shut up. But seriously, are you okay with us dating? I feel like I need your approval or something" I laughed nervously.
Ashley shook his head. "Nahh, you guys can do what you like. Don't feel obligated to need my permission, but you have it. Now, hump like rabbits" Ashley joked.
I giggled, feeling relief spread through me.
*ding ding* my phone chimed again.
"I'm guessing CC is the one you were texting earlier?"
"Yeah, he wants to know what I'm doing this weekend" I smiled.
"Just message him back already. It's shit waiting for a text."
"Probably should. It's been over an hour" I said, pulling my phone out of my bag.
The texts from CC read.
Well, I kinda wanna just hang out with you. Do you wanna go to the movies maybe? I just miss you.
I felt myself blush as I read his text. I scrolled down to the second, my face starting to get sore from smiling.
Guess you're busy at the moment. I'll call you later :)
Sweet and considerate. I had the whole package.
I'm so sorry! I got distracted haha! I'll talk to you later and I miss you too :)
I quickly messaged back then flipped my phone to silent and placed it back in my bag.
"Okay, all good. I'll talk to him later. Trying organise this weekend."
"Sounds fun. So, now that you no longer need my services, who is this Simone person?" Ashley asked inquisitively.
I laughed and shook my head at him. "I would not give you her number if her life depended on it. I'm sure you know a thousand girls just as hot as her" I shrugged. "Now, do you know what you want cause we should order before that big table does" I said eyeing the table of ten sitting across the room.

When I got home later that evening, I settled onto my couch with Duke sleeping at my feet and my phone.
I dialled CC's number and waited.
He picked up on the second ring.
"Hey there gorgeous" I could hear the smile in his voice.
"Hey" I said shyly, my cheeks going red.
"So, how was your day?" He asked.
"Was alright. Had Ashley in for his personal training session then we went out and got some dinner. I chatted to him about us. I hope that's okay?"
"Oh, yeah. Umm that's good actually cause I haven't had the chance."
"Yeah, well, I thought I better, since you are his band mate and I don't want to cause any drama. I think the last time I told him we were hanging out, I don't think he believed me cause he got weird about it, but I think he gets it now. He knows were dating."
"Dating? Damn, I was going for the boyfriend position" he said jokingly.
"Oh, well, that can be arranged, but we'll have to see how this weekend goes" I continued in the joking tone.
"Well I'm glad he knows. I'm sure it won't bother him too much, not like you guys sleep together" CC laughed.
I forced a laugh with him, thanking God he didn't know my dirty little secret.

Sorry it took ages. I've been so busy this week. I do normally try and update every week. But yeah, can't control my weeknights too well.
Hope you enjoy. Little bit of a filler chapter, but I have better things coming. Just gotta build it up.
