Skylar pulled into the parking lot of the school. Suprisingly they didn't cancel school because of Amber's death. When she entered the building, she saw they had roped off the hall where Amber's body had been found.

She still wasn't sure what to make of what Andy had said to her. She was beginning to wonder. Putting the clues together, she was considering the impossible. That somehow Andy had come into the real world, But how?Last night she hadn't even realize she was dreaming until Andy had told her. It had all been so real. Even now she could recall what his lips had felt like on hers.

Lost in thought, she made her way to her locker. When she opened it she found another rose and another note: Soon, my love. was all it said. Did that mean what she thought it meant? Could it be?

After grabbing her books, she shut her locker. Holding the new rose gently to her nose, she smiled and began making her way to her first class. She made it three steps from her locker before, Trevor, the captain of the football team, tripped her sending her books and the rose skittering around her. Tears sprang to her eyes as her knee popped the floor knocking her knee cap out of place.

Laughter erupted around her as trevor saw the rose. "Who's dick did you suck?" he asked as he picked up the rose. Skylar watched as Trever pulled the bloom from the stem and crushed the petals in his hand before dropping them onto the floor. He walked off laughing with his friends.

The hall was almost empty as Skylar gathered her books and the ruined rose from the floor. She sniffled as she limped her way to the nurse's office. What she didn't see was the shadowy figure standing inside a darkened empty classroom who had just watched the whole thing with glowing blood red eyes.

The nurse had popped her knee cap back into place and wrapped it in an ace bandage. The nurse gave her a tylenol and sent her on her way. Nothing else happened until lunch.

After getting her lunch, Skylar limped her way to her usual table. As she passed Trevor and his friends, he stuck out his foot and tripped her again. As his friends roared in laughter, he reached out and poured chocolate milk over her head. This made them laugh even harder.

Once again Skylar found tears in her eyes as she looked up at him from the floor. "Why do you keep doing this to me?" She asked. "What did I ever do to you?"

"Because you're nothing but a piece of garbage." He said as he kicked her bandaged knee causing pain to shoot through her leg. "Everyone knows you killed Amber. The only reason you're not in jail right now is because there's no proof. But everyone knows you did."

With that he walked off laughing with his friends, leaving Skylar sitting on the floor stunned. If that's what everyone thought, maybe she she shouldn't stay here. She got up and limped out of the lunchroom, leaving her tray on the floor. She didn't look back as she got in her car and pulled out of the parking lot.

The knee cap thing happened to me once. It hurt like hell.
