My Perfect Weapon

Lacy had been avoiding going back to the apartment. This would be her third night staying at Ryan's house. She didn't feel safe with Andy around. She didn't trust him. In fact she was terrified of him.

She knew she couldn't avoid going home forever. Eventually she would have to, but she was trying to put it off for as long as possible.

Although, at the moment, she was seriously considering going home despite Andy being there or not. Ryan was having some friends over and he seemed to be taking ever opportunity he could to belittle her. She didn't know why he was acting this way. He had never done it before in the six months they had been dating.

She walked out of the kitchen into the livingroom and served Ryan and his four friends another beer. It was only the second one they'd had so she couldn't blame his behaivor on being drunk. As she turned to head back to the chair she had been sitting in, Ryan smacked her on the ass. His friends roared in laughter.

She whirled around and glared at him. "What the hell, Ryan?" she said angrily.

He jumped up from the couch and in a flash smacked her across the face. She was knocked to the floor. She brought her hand up and placed it on her stinging cheek. A welt was already forming. She was too stunned to move. He had never hit her before.

"Are you gonna let her talk to you like that, dude?" one of his friends said.
"Fuck no!" Ryan replied before grabbing her arm and roughly yanking her off the floor. "You're my girlfriend and I'll do anything I want to you." He said.

He ripped open the front of her shirt exposing her bra covered breasts. He reached out and pinched one her breasts causing her to cry out in pain. "Maybe I'll even let my friends have a go at you,too. Maybe then you'll learn your place." He said throwing her down onto the couch.

"No, Ryan, Stop it!" She screamed out as tears streamed down her face.
"Shut up, bitch!" he screamed slapping her again.

She wasn't going to let this happen. As Ryan began tugging at her shorts, she kicked out. Her foot connected with his groin causing him to double over in pain. She took the opportunity to jump up and run into the kitchen. She made it out the back door and ran for the woodline behind his house.

She could hear their footsteps running after her as she dashed into the trees. There was a park on the otherside of these woods. If she could make it there, maybe she could find some help. If not, maybe she could lose them in the trees.

She was breathless and running blind. The moon was hidden behind a bank of clouds. It seemed she had been running for hours when she finally saw the lights of the park. She was almost there.

She ran out of the trees and crashed into someone. A pair of hands grabbed onto her arms and kept her from falling to the ground. She screamed.

"Lacy, calm down. It's me." a deep voice said.
"Andy!" she cried throwing herself into his arms and sobbing. She was terrified of him, but right now she wasn't thinking about that. She was just relieved to have found help.

He pulled away and looked down at her. "Lacy, what happened? Why are you running?"

It was then she remember her shirt was torn. Her bra was exposed. Her face burned with embarassment. She pulled back and crossed her arms over herself.

Taking notice of her embarassment, Andy pulled his leather jacket off and drapped it over her shoulders. "Tell me what happened." he said placing a hand on her shoulder.
She pulled his jacket around herself before answering. "He and his friends were going to rape me." She said starting to sob again.
"Who?" He asked as his eyes began to turn red.
"Ryan. My boyfriend."

He let out a growl and she flinched. He seemed to notice he had scared her. "It's ok. You're safe now, Lacy. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm sorry."
"No, No. It's ok. I'm just a little jumpy." She said.

At that moment, Ryan and his friends came bursting through the treeline. Lacy instictivly clung to Andy. He looked down at her and then back up at Ryan.

"What the fuck are you doing with my girlfriend, you prick?" Ryan said taking a step toward Andy.

Andy stepped in front of Lacy before replying. "I don't think she wants to be your girlfriend anymore since you tried to force yourself on her." He said as his eyes turned red again.

Ryan stopped in his tracks. His friends turned and dashed back into the trees.

"I think you should go." Andy said.
"Not without her." Ryan replied looking at Lacy.

In a flash Andy had Ryan pinned to the ground. "You really are a dumbass, aren't you?" Andy asked, his fangs inches from Ryan's face.

"No, wait, Andy, Don't hurt him. Just let him go. If he ever comes near me again, you can do whatever you want. But for now, just please, let him go." Lacy pleaded.

Andy looked up at her and then reluctantly got up off him. "If you ever com near her again, it will be the biggest mistake of your life. And the last." Andy said flashing his fangs one last time before pulling them back in.

Ryan jumped up and ran into the trees. "Thank you for stopping, Andy." She said as they watched him run off.
"I'm not evil, Lacy." He said looking down at her.
"I'm beginning to see that." She said smiling up at him.
He smiled back. "Come on, let me take you home." He said.

As they made their way back to the apartment, Lacy thought about what had just happened. Andy had stepped in and hadn't even thought twice about protecting her. If he could do that maybe he wasn't so bad after all. She was finally able to understand why he meant so much to Skylar and she was happy that Skylar had Andy to protect her.
