A Demon's Bargain

It just still seemed so impossible, that Andy could want me of his own accord. Of course he had needed something to get by, because of the contract. But he had said, early on, that kissing would be adequate for him.

But, this? This just didn’t make sense! That Andy could want me, me, so badly he kept getting dangerously close to dying from not getting what he wanted. How had he done that anyway? How had he lost weight so quickly, in the bathroom? And why? Was it just to get me to put out faster, because it definitely hadn’t looked like he was doing it on purpose?

But, now, he looked so earnest. His fancy words were gone. “I want you.” And then, he started to cry. Could I be wrong? Could a demon have some sort of feelings… for me, and so quickly? I looked at the floor, questioning myself.

Conscious thought was quickly removed from the equation when Andy started dropping weight again, right in front of me! He just stared at me, so forlorn, it was horrible! It was as though I could see the flesh disappearing off of him. I panicked.

“No! No!Andy!” I couldn’t lose him! I started to sob, though I was momentarily distracted by a tickle in my ear.
