Memories Of Youth And Whisky

Chapter One

Seven Years Later...

"Hi, welcome to Hot Topic! How may I help you?"

I smile at the young girl and she shyly looks back up at me.

"Umm, I was wondering, do you guys sell any, umm, Black Veil Brides merch? I know they're new, so most likely not..."

I chuckle and gently grab her hand. I led her to the back of the store and told her to wait. I grabbed a shirt from the back and showed it to her. She smiled brightly and grabbed the shirt.

"This is exactly what I was thinking! I didn't think you'd have any!"

She smiled brightly as she held the shirt close to her. The shirt had a picture of the whole band on it. She blushed when she realized what she was doing. I laughed and led her to the register out front. She smiled as I rung up the shirt.

"Here, I'll tell ya what," I started as I was ringing her up, "I'll cut you a little discount since we're almost at closing, and since no one really comes in for BVB stuff yet."

"Oh, no no no, I couldn't possibly-"

"Don't worry about it. Us BVB fans gotta stick together, right?"

She leaned over the counter and gave me a small hug. I laughed as I hugged her back and cut her price in half. As she was about to walk away with her bag, she turned back to me.

"Did you hear about Sandra Alvarenga?"

"Yeah. It's a shame she left. But, I heard they found another great drummer."

"Yeah, I did, too! I can't wait to find out who it is!"

"We just have to wait two more days until their new CD comes out."

"I know! I'm so excited!"

I laughed as she giggled with happiness. She walked towards the door and waved to me on her way out.

"Thank you, Ava!"

I waved to her until she was out of sight. I smiled to myself as I began packing up the store.

Another successful day.

I closed the doors to my shop and began walking away, thinking about the new drummer for BVB. I was so excited that I couldn't contain it. And, if our luck holds up, they'll be coming to our store for CD signing, and I'll get to meet them.

"Oh, I just can't wait for there new CD to come out!"

~CC's P.O.V~

We looked over our dedications once more before finalizing it. Jake looked at mine and pointed to one of the names on there.

"Hey, CC, who's that?"

"Who?"

"Ava Moon."

"Oh, she's one of my best friends from school. She was always there for me, supporting my dream as a drummer. Without her, I probably wouldn't even be here."

All the guys smiled as they gave me back my dedication paper. We all gave it to the printer to put in the book and he walked off. I flopped onto the couch and look up at the ceiling. I thought of Ava and smiled. But, that smile vanished soon after I came to a realization.

What if she's forgotten about me? What if she's moved on? Or, worse...

No, I will NOT think about that. Ava would never do that. I shook my head and closed my eyes, slowly falling asleep. I couldn't wait until we went on tour and went back to my hometown. Because, after seven years, I would finally see Ava again.
