Love Isn't Always Fair

"Mmm."

I woke up later on to see Evelyn rustling in her sleep. I tightened my grip on her and gently stroked her hair. I gently moved the bangs out of her face and looked at her beautiful, sleeping face. Her eyes slowly fluttered open as she stretched slightly. She looked up at me with her droopy eyes.

"Ashley?"

"Yeah?"

Her eyes slowly drifted down and she looked at the floor as she began to play with her hair.

"U-Umm, I wanted to say I'm sorry... for last night..."

I gently moved my hand to her chin and made her look up at me.

"No, it's okay. Clearly you needed someone. I was glad to help you out last night."
She nodded slowly and rested her head back on my chest. I felt myself slipping back out of consciousness, leaning my head back and closing my eyes.

~Evelyn's P.O.V~

After Ashley fell back asleep, I quietly got out of his grip, careful not to wake him up. I went back to the bunk I was in so I could retrieve my purse. As I was exiting CC and Ashley's bunk room, I accidentally tripped over one of their suitcases and began falling. Just as I braced myself, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. I opened my eyes and looked up to see Jinxx holding me carefully. I smiled and mouthed thank you as he helped me back on my feet. We made our way back to the lounge and into the kitchen.

"Are you feeling any better?" He asked.

"Yes, thank you. Again," I laughed.

He chuckled slightly as he moved past me to the fridge. Jinxx leaned against the fridge after grabbing a water bottle.

"So, where's Ash?"

"He's still sleeping."

"Well, I'm just glad he was able to help you out last night."

"Yeah..."

I looked down and stared at the glass of water I had. I looked at my reflection and sighed a little. I felt Jinxx gently place his hand on the top of my head. I managed to look up at him past my bangs and saw him smile.

"You'll be alright. You have us now."

I blushed and actually smiled. He chuckled slightly and walked off. I watched him disappear back to the bunks and made my way towards Ashley. I saw him facing the opposite direction, still sleeping. I gently stroked his hair before grabbing my shoes from his room. I slipped them on and gently kissed his cheek. I looked back once more before vanishing from the bus.

"Thank you. All of you."
