They Stitched My Wounds

CC and I drove for about an hour before reaching an amusement park. I squeaked with joy as we got out and headed towards the entrance. As soon as we paid for our passes, we darted for the roller coaster. CC looked at me with a big smile.

"You ready? They say this is one of the fastest roller coasters here!"

"Yes! Let's go!"

We got onto the ride and it went as fast as a bullet. We were shrieking with laughter, but, when we got off, we both began puking in a trashcan. We were laughing all about it as we walked together through the park. We stopped from time to time, playing games, buying cotton candy, all sorts of things. I stopped and pointed to a shooting game. CC ran towards it, dragging me behind him. We got up to the booth and he paid the young lady running it. I grabbed the hand gun and braced myself. I was to shoot out the red star off the paper before time ran out. As soon as the bell rung, I began firing shots like there was no tomorrow.

"HOLY SHIT, TESSA!"

The timer finished just as I took my last shot, blowing the last piece of the red star away. The lady looked at the paper and back at me. CC did the same thing. She smiled brightly and laughed.

"Oh my god! That was the most talented thing I've seen all day! No one's ever been able to do it!"

I blushed slightly as I put the bottle cap gun back down. She gave me one of the prizes, which was a pair of Hello Kitty ears, and the piece of paper. I laughed and thanked her as we walked away. CC sat there completely amazed.

"That was so amazing, Tess! How'd you learn to do that?!"

"I always practiced with bottle cap guns while I was in the orphanage. It was a way to pass time."

"That's so fucking bad ass!"

"Ha ha, thanks!"

We looked up at the ferris wheel as we were about to walk out of the park. I smiled and looked at CC.

"Can we please go on it?"

"Sure."

We got onto the ferris wheel and I smiled as I looked down at the park. When we stopped at the very top, I looked at the sky and gasped. It was so beautiful with the sunset. I smiled brightly and hugged CC.

"Thank you so much. This has been one of the best days ever."

He chuckled and hugged me back.

"It's not quiet over yet, squirt. But, I'm glad."

He gently kissed the top of my head and I blushed. I was kinda surprised, since I've never really experienced affection like this before. Nonetheless, I smiled and snuggled into his chest as the ferris wheel moved. We got out and got back to the car. The whole way back to the house, we sang along to random songs and leaned out the window, shouting at random people as we passed them. When we got back, we were in a fit of giggles. Jake came out and greeted us, smiling at me. He gently took my hand and led me into his guitar studio. I looked at all the guitars in awe as he sat in his chair.

"So, Tessa, do you wanna learn guitar? I wouldn't mind teaching you."

"Really? I would love to!"

"Alright, let's get started!"
