Mystical Murder

Book Store

I left my room and went downstairs. She was only passed out for an hour, but I still really worried. God. What the fuck is wrong with me? I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I straightned up and finished up washing the dishes. I heard one of the chairs skid across the floor. I stopped what I was doing and grabbed the plate off of the counter and it in front of Kaylee.

"I remade you your breakfast, since it got cold." I told her.

She remained silent. I handed her a fork and sat down across from her. She just sat there, holding the fork in her hand and staring down at the food. I sighed.

"Look. I'm trying to be nice. So can you please eat? I really don't want you to starve." I told her.

I stood up and left the room.

It's been a week since Kaylee came into my possession. So far, I've managed to get her to eat at least one meal each day. She found my library in the living room and has read about six books within two days. Maybe I should take her to a book store or something. I walked into the living room to see her looking through my Edgar Allan Poe scrapbook.

"I see you found one of my gems."

She jumped when she heard me talk. I walked into the room and sat down in the chair next to where she was sitting. So far, she's only talked to me a few times, so I've been keeping a short distance.

"So, I was thinking, maybe we can go out today? I could take you to a book store or whatever."

"D-do you think I could go back to my dorm to retrieve some things? Since I don't know if they were going to throw out my stuff."

"Yeah. We can do that. And I was thinking that maybe you should go back to school. But I don't want you out there alone."

She nodded her head. I stood up held out my hand to her.

"C'mon. We leave in half an hour." I told her.

She took my hand and I lead her to her room. Twenty minutes later, we were outside and in the cold. I walked her to my car and drove off to a book store near the edge of town. It was a little past eleven in the morning, so it wasn’t that crowded. The minute we stepped into the warm building, I saw Kaylee's eyes brighten up and saw her smile for the first time. It may have been a week since she "disappeared" but to her, it probably seemed like months. I've treated her good though. (obviously not counting the time I tried to kill her)

"You can pick out any books you want." I whispered in her ear.

"Really?" She looked over at me, her green orbs staring into my blue ones.

I nodded my head and her smile got bigger. Next thing I know, she hugged me. That's the closest contact we've had without her having a panic or anxiety attack.

"Thank you." She whispered.

"No problem."

She grabbed my hand and started pulling me around the entire store. She had maybe about ten books in her arms when we finished two hours later.

"Do you have any friends?" I asked on our way to the college campus.

"Not really anymore." She responded. "After all, you did kill my only trustworthy friend back in Louisiana."

"Oh." I looked back at the road.

Kaylee leaned her head on the window as we spead past the shops in downtown. We pulled up into the campus and Kaylee gave me directions to where the building was. I put the car in park and pulled the keys out of the egnition.

"I-I'm sorry." I looked down. "I'm sorry that I'm the reason for you losing all your friends."

"I-its okay. My friends never really got me anyways."

We made our way through the hallways and stopped in front of a door.

"You never really had friends?" I looked over to her.

She just shook her head as she opened the doorm with the keys I gave back to her. We stepped inside and she started taking down posters of my favorite bands.

"I never did either." I looked down at the hard wood floor.

"Really?" she stopped rolling her posters up and looked at me.

I nodded. Next thing I knew, I was being hugged again. She pulled me over to the empty bed and sat us down on it. I pulled away slightly and stared into her green eyes. Next thing I know, I leaned in and kissed her.

Notes

HOLY SHIT I SAW ANDY BLACK ON TUESDAY!!! The show was so fucking amazing, even though he was sick and claimed that he didn't give it his all. I hope I can see Black Veil Brides when touring starts up again. See ya next Friday!

@onefinalfightdoe it was really fun. I got to meet up with my friends that I don't really see anymore because they're all going to a different school for Junior and Senior year. Too bad that they don't play any good music like Halsey or Green Day.
