Mystical Murder

"Class dismissed." The professor said.

I threw my books into my bag and left the classroom as fast as I could. Its finally nearing the begining of June, which means graduation is almost here. I could tell Jinxx is excited for me. I made my way outside of the building. I sat down on the steps waiting for him to pick me up. After ten minutes of waiting, I finally gave up and made my way off campus. I was ten minutes away from the house, when a car pulled up beside me.

"What the fuck are you doing? I texted you four times that I was running a little late!" Jinxx yelled to me.

"What the hell are you talking about? I never got any texts." I stopped dead in my tracks.

"Can you please just get in the car? I texted you four times that I was going to be late."

"Fine. Whatever."

I got in the car and slammed the door shut. I threw my bag onto the back seat before Jinxx pulled away from the curb. We made it home and I went upstairs to the guest room, slaming the door and locking it behind me. An hour later, there was a knock on the door.

"Kaylee, I know your pissed off at me. And I'm sorry. I thought you had your phone on since I know you turn it off during classes. Dinner is almost ready if you're interested."

I remained at the desk until I heard no footsteps going down the stairs. I sighed before closing my finalls book and leaving the room. I quietly made my way down the stairs and into the kitchen to sit in my normal chair at the table. A few minutes later, a plate of chicken parmesan and a small salad was placed in front of me. I smiled at the thought of him remembering my favorite meal to cheer me up. He sat down across from me and we dug in. Fifteen minutes into the meal I finally spoke up.

"I'm sorry for being a bitch earlier." I said.

"Its fine. Let's just put it behind us. It was a stupid fight anyways."

He was right. It was a stupid fight. I got pissed off over not turning my phone back on after a very long day of classes. Finals are next week and I don't think I've had my phone on all week due to trying to study for them.

"I also wanted to talk about what we're going to do after you graduate." He started. "I really want to get rid of this whole serial killer side of me and try to pick back up on music, and move out of state. Preferably California?"

"Oh." I looked down at my now empty plate.

"Look. I get that it's a big change for you. You've lived in this same area for four years. But maybe you could do hell of a lot better out there than here."

"Yeah. I guess. But I've never been outside of the state before! This will be a big change. But I'm willing to go wherever you go."

He got out of his seat and pulled me into a tigt hug. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
