Soaring Bird
1st hour
Axel runs into the school but Chantel takes her time lingering in her car. She reminds herself she has about 10 months and she is out of here, and with that mindset she puts her headphones in, puts her keys in her bag, and heads into the school. She walks through the familiar halls while listening to her dad's close friends PTV.
"Hey Chel." screams Allen while ripping her headphones out of her ears.
She gives him a death stare, and he gets an apologetic look in his eyes. He knows she hates when people sneak up on her, and he had been so excited to see her that he just didn't think about it.
"Hey asswipe, how have you been?" she asks while she laughs and wraps her best friend in a huge hug.
"Not as good as you! Damn girl you look fine." he winks at her as she playfully punches him in the arm
"Speaking if looking fine where is Eric? You know, your boyfriend!"
"Running late, again."
Just then Chantel feels a set of familiar arms wrap around her, and she turns around to see those blue eyes she loves so much. She feels her heartbeat pick up, and then she is being kissed, so much passion in this kiss.
"I missed you my love." Amy says when she parts her lips from Chantel's
"You saw me last night." Chantel says with a wink.
"Um don't need to hear this." Eric says running up on the group.
"Whatever," Amy rolls her eyes, "lets get to English."
Chantel takes Amy's hand as she walks down the hall with her three best friends and the only people in this place (besides Axel now) that make coming here worth it. They enter their English class and see that their names are already placed on desks. Like what the fuck was this, kindergarten? Chantel and Amy split as Chantel takes her seat on the right side of the room and Amy takes her's on the left. Chantel is seated in between James Prior and Katie Ralls. She looks across the room at Amy and Eric for help! Thankfully Allen is in the row next to her and he gives her a look like he wishes they would say something to her.
James Prior is the school's star football player, just like his father was in high school and college. Katie Ralls is of course head cheerleader and so was her mother in high school. They have made Chantel's high school experience hell since day one of freshman year when she showed up to school in a BVB t-shirt. She wore it because she loves her father and uncles' music, and other musicians like them, but James and Katie took it as an opportunity to torment her for the rest of her high school days. Thank God she had Allen, and then Sophomore year Eric and Amy moved to their town, (not at the same time), and things got better.
"Ew, why am I stuck in front of you?" James says walking in with Katie on his arm
"Ugh, at least you aren't stuck looking at her all hour, I might vomit everyday." Katie laughs
Just then the bell rings and class begins. Chantel tries to pay attention, but she ends up trying not to have a panic attack all hour.
