DayTripper's Fanfic Fails

Okay, look at my profile. Notice I am not a fan of the Brides. I saw them at Warped 2013 and haven't felt anything for them since. So this part might be me just screwing myself over but...

What the fuck is F.E.A.R? I keep seeing all these stories popping up and talking about it and what the fuck is it? Yes, show-don't-tell during writing is great, but every once in a while, explain shit. What if someone is like JUST getting into the Brides and they see this and they're like "what?" They'll never know because from what I've seen NOBODY tells you what the fuck F.E.A.R. is other than an organization? Who are like the bad guys? (So Juliet Simms is obviously part of it because fan fiction)

You can tell me something without ruining your story. It's possible. Anathema's Night Watch. From the first few chapters I KNOW what the Night Watch is and what they do. Do I know everything? Of course not. Do I know there's a traitor amongst them who's plotting to kill Andy and establish BOTDF as the New World Order? No (because I just pulled this out of my ass so actually that might be a thing but I think Anathema is a better author than that).

And while we're talking about this, let's discuss the Brides. If you take a picture of the Brides, put it on your character list and say "u shud no them or gtfo" or "obvi, you know them" then I'm going to assume your story is a piece of shit. Because again, what if someone doesn't know? Plus, in my experience it always seems like the ones who only know Ashley and Andy tend to do that... If you don't shove a picture of Jinxx in my face and say "DO YOU KNOW WHO THIS IS?!" I won't shove a picture of Geoffrey Tate under your nose and ask "DO YOU KNOW WHO THIS FUCKER IS?"
