I Didn't Want to Get Married

#12

Joy filled me at (Y/N)’s words, and I had never been happier in my life! I pounced on her like an eager puppy, unable to restrain myself. I embraced her snugly, treasuring the feel of her in my arms, and aimed to cover every inch of her exposed skin with a kiss. Each was a blessing to tell her how beautiful she was, a promise of how well I would care for her as a husband.

Wanting to ensure there would be adequate time, I stole one last, lingering kiss, before telling (Y/N) we should ride back. The touch of her lips set my body aflame! When she asked breathily, instead, to stay, that I show her what my manhood looked like, that she was curious, I felt hotter than any furnace.

It took a great deal of self-restraint not to take advantage of her innocent inquisitiveness. I figured, after we were engaged, we would have quite a few days’ time, while arrangements were made for the wedding, to indulge in hedonistic pleasures, if that was truly what she wanted. I didn’t want to rush her, and I knew that it would be difficult in the extreme only to display to her my burning desire, without anything further. Better to keep my cock in my pants until she felt the longing to touch it on her own. Lord, let her crave that soon!

I begged off, telling her there would be plenty of time to come when I could share what I knew and we could learn new things together. We rode back to the stables, with both horses behaving well. I told Jon to baby them both after their impromptu race, and gave each a treat. I even, carefully, scratched Danzig’s shoulder, I was so proud of him.

It was late afternoon by then. I figured I should inform Lord and Lady (Y/L/N) and my parents prior to dinner of my intentions, so that everything went smoothly. They were most likely still in the mansion somewhere, debating the merits of our match. Little did they know, the matter had been raised by the one they fancied the most reluctant to agree.

I dragged (Y/N) into the tack room long enough to press a quick kiss to her lips without getting caught. I didn’t want to be apart from her, she made me feel so different, light and warm, but a girl’s presence wouldn’t be welcome at marital negotiations. I said I would see her at dinner, that the next time I spoke to her I would be asking her to marry me again, for the third time, and we had both laughed.

Little had we known that would never come to pass as I watched (Y/N) walk back to the house with Meredith, while I smiled like an idiot. Indeed, nothing at all went according to plan. Did it ever, when (Y/N) was involved?

Notes

Oh no! What do you think goes wrong? Guesses?

Oh my god, these two are my favorite couple ever. I'm sad it's over because I just loved how they talked literally so bluntly with each other! Andrew stayed so mortified! Ah! <3 <3 <3 <3
