Starting Over

We got to his apartment and there was four guys and a girl sat on the sofa playing videogames, screaming at each other. ‘CC Fuck! Off! It’s my go!’ ‘No it’s not!’ ‘Fucking hell Jake stop shooting me!’ ‘I’m okay thanks Ashley!’ ‘MAMA JINXX!’ They all yelled in unison. Andy cleared his throat and they all looked round. ‘Woah, who’s the chick?’ Ashley asked. ‘Guys, this is Juliet Simms.’ Andy said. The guys jaws all dropped. ‘As in… Automatic Loveletter Juliet Simms?’ Jake asked. ‘The very one!’ I grinned. ‘OH MY GOD WE’RE HUGE FANS!’ CC yelled, running up to me and engulfing me in a bone crushing hug. ‘CAN YOU SIGN MY SHIRT?!’ Ashley screamed. ‘NO, SIGN MINE FIRST!’ Jake yelled at me. ‘MAMA JINXX!!’ They yelled, yet again in sync. I looked at Jinxx sympathetically. I signed all of their shirts and Andy introduced me to them all properly. I said hi to them all and he finally introduced me to the girl. ‘Juliet, this is Scout,’ Andy told me. Scout hugged me and I smiled. ‘Who wants to play videogames?’ ‘NO! DO NOT TOUCH THE CONSOLE!’ Jinxx shouted. They looked hurt. ‘Lets order pizza!’ Ashley yelled. ‘I have to be going, bye guys,’ I said. ‘How will you get home?’ Scout asked, concerned. ‘I can walk, it’s only a couple of blocks away,’ I said. The guys all gave me their numbers and I set a selfie with each of them as the contact photo. They also all had different BVB songs for their ringtones. Jake had Set The World On Fire, Jinxx had Ritual, Ashley had The Legacy, CC had Perfect Weapon and Andy had We Stitch These Wounds. I set off home and walked with my earphones listening to Love Isn’t Always Fair. I couldn’t stop thinking about him. I really liked him, but he had Scout. Suddenly, a text from CC came through. Be careful with Scout, we think she’s cheating on Andy. Keep an eye out for us. Stay safe – CC x Oh shit. So, I guess that means I have to hang out with them more. RESULT! I sang along with the music and couldn’t wait to see the guys again. Thinking back to when I was in the car with Andy, I couldn’t help but realise how good our voices sound together. I’d have to talk to him about a collab for my EP.
