I gasped and raced downstairs so see Darren standing in the doorway. He hadn't changed at all since I last saw him, which had been a hell of a long time ago. He looked at me, and smirked, his eyes glinting slightly. "Babe...How are you doing?" He asked, leaning against the door frame. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I said, staring at him, my fists clenched. "Now now baby doll, there's no need to be like that." He said, smirking. "Darren...you really need to leave."
"Why? I mean, I only came to say hello."
"Well I don't want your hello's. Just fuck off."
"Oooo, look at you being all tough." He said, stepping inside the house. I heard footsteps behind me, and I turned to see Andy, looking at us. He came beside me, and laced his fingers with mine.

Darren looked at our hands, and then at me, the smirk gone from his lips. "Who's that?"
"That...is Andy, my boyfriend." I said, and he stared at us. "Him? Baby girl you don't want him, you need someone who can look after you." He said, and I snarled at him. "well at least I actually love her." He said, and I smiled slightly at the thought of him actually loving me. "I doubt that. I'd do anything for her."
"Well why don't you do this for her and fucking leave."
"You wait until-"
"Stop it Darren. For fuck sake just leave." I snapped, and he stared at me. "Just wait and see, it'll be me and you again soon, just wait for it." He said, waking out and slamming the door. "Sweetheart can you clear up for me, who that was."
"It was just a stupid ex that's all, nothing special. But.." I said, pulling him closer to me. "Thanks for sicking up for me." I whispered, and he smiled, looking into my eyes.

"No problem babe. Anything for you." He said, kissing the end of my nose. "So, what were we doing before we were rudely interrupted?" he said, and I smiled. "Maybe this..." I said, pressing my lips to his. We were once again interrupted by someone coughing to get our attention. We pulled apart, and looked at Anna who was standing in the doorway, arms folded. "Can you wait for the make-up session for after I've talked to Rosie, Alone..." She said, and I sighed. "Ermmm, yeah. Andy could you go upstairs while I talk to Anna please?"
"Yeah sure sweetheart. See you in a minute." He said, leaving the room. I looked at Anna, and she shut the door.

"Right, you need to tell me who Darren really is. I need to know."
"Why do you need to know?"
"Because. He come on that doorstep, and acted like he owned the place. He's bad blood, and is pure trouble, I want to know how you know him." She said, and I sighed. "Fine. When I was 17, we met at my parents house party, and we fell in love, well, at I fell in love. He used me as a blood bank, drinking from me every time he had the chance, and I let him. I thought he loved me, he never did. One day, he just decided that he'd had enough of me, and tried to kill me. I was found by another vampire, and taken away. I was dying, so...she bit me to save me. That's how I turned. My brother refused to let me grow up as a vampire on my own, so made her turn him to. He stuck with me, and always will, he was there through the heartbreak and all my tears. It's a good job He wasn't here, otherwise a fight would be on our hands, and we don't need that with Ash and Andy here." I said, and she sighed.

"Well whatever happened, you need to stay away from him, and also you need to tell Andy about what you are. it's only fair on him."
I sighed, and looked at her. "But he won't want me."
"Well you wanted Darren when he told you. You have to Rose." She said, and I sighed. "Fine, I'll tell him eventually, just give me time."
"Don't leave it too long.."
