I didn’t like leaving (Y/N) alone in here, but I decided it was necessary. I needed to determine if there was anything dangerous on the ship with us, and she was too faint to move for the moment. So, I reluctantly left her, protesting weakly, on the freaky bed in the equally freaky room.

Just thinking about it gave me the goose bumps. I’d seen hundreds of photos of fans’ rooms that were covered with pictures of Black Veil, but I’d never seen anything like that, not for any band! There were fancy paintings mixed right in with low quality printed-off pics, from the floor to the ceiling, with some on the ceiling, and every single one was of me exclusively. It was unnerving.

Unsure where to go, I decided to check out the door facing me, across the hall. I realized instantly that I was out of my depth when everything looked like one of those boring recordings they had played in high school science classes. There was complex, shiny machinery, and what I looked like two chambers for people to fit in. I noticed several droplets of condensation on the hood of one of the cocoon-like compartments, but the other one looked totally dry. I’d never gone through a cryogenic freeze, but it vaguely resembled what the ads looked like.

I stored that information away and left the room, deciding at random to continue on down the hallway to my left. I could see part of a big room up ahead; it looked just like the main lounge. But before I got there, I found another door to my right. Wishing I had some kind of weapon with me, I walked into the room after all the lights had come on.

Again, there were several pictures of me on the walls, but only the more fancy kind with frames. What really worried me was all the science-type equipment I saw around me. There were all kinds! Glass tubes, funnels, and bowls, transparent drawers full of mysterious substances, scales and all manner of things I didn’t recognize.

In the corner, I saw a stool lying eerily on the ground, and on the counter above it, a small video console. It had a piece of paper next to it that said, “Play me.”

The little hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I felt uncomfortable in the pit of my stomach. Was that the video (Y/N) had mentioned? The skin of my balls was absolutely crawling as I made myself walk over to the video and place my hand on the scanner.

Kama piped up, “Passenger Andy Biersack granted access permissions by previous manual override.”

Then the console blinked to life! It was (Y/N), and she looked happy! “Your memories are compromised because of intentional drug administration. The effect is temporary, and there’s nothing you can do to speed along the process. I hope you’re having fun so far. The rest will come with time.” The screen went black.

What? My memories weren’t compromised… It took a second before I realized that it wasn't me she was talking to. She, she had left that recording for herself to find, in a place I wouldn’t have been able to access on my own.

What the fuck had happened here? ‘Having fun?’
