Star Crossed

Nikki's POV

I was walking home from work, watching as the cars drove by. It's pitch black right now, I don't necessarily enjoy making this walk, but I don't have a car, plus I need the money.

Once I made my way home, I easily opened the front door, not wanting to wake anyone up. I made my way to my room. Finding a pair of black sleep shorts and a black tank top, I walked to the bathroom to take a shower. I turned to water to the right temperature then stepped in, I let the warm water cascade down my body, after washing my hair and body. I turned off the water, grabbed my towel and wrapped in around my body then stepped out. After that I brushed my teeth, blow dryed my hair and put on my clothes.

I set my alarm for 5am, I had school tomorrow, ughh I hate school. I laid down and pulled the covers up under my neck and closed my eyes. Soon after, I went to sleep.


I woke up to the sound of my alarm beeping. I groaned, turned over and pushed the snooze button. I laid in my bed another minute. Not wanting to go to school, then I lazily climbed out of bed.

I yawned and stretched my arms over my head. I walked over to my cherry wood wardrobe and pulled out a white pair of skinny jeans, mint tank top, grey long sleeved cardigan and white flats. I put on my outfit, walked to the bathroom, done my usual makeup, hint of mascara, filled in my eyebrows and put on some clear lip gloss. I just brushed
my hair out.

I grabbed my white and black striped messenger bag and left my room and went downstairs. I saw my brother Zach sitting on the couch texting, my mom and dad in the kitchen drinking coffee.

"Hey sweety, are you hungry?" My mom, Beth, asked me. I shook my head.

" No, thank you." I said with a slight smile.

"Okay." She said.

"Hey Zach can I catch a ride with you? I don't feel like walking." I asked.

"Sure, no problem, I'm leaving right now." He replied.

"Okay I'm going to the car." I said. I walked out of the house, after waving bye to my parents. I walked over to my brothers black hummer, I climbed in the passenger seat, waiting for my brother. He walked out of the house and walked over to the car, then he started the car, driving to school.

We made it to Redsboro High School, I prefer the term 'hell'. I got out of the car, grabbing my bag and walking to the main, front doors of the school. I was waiting for my friend Carry. While I was waiting this guy walked by me, he had short black hair gelled back, mesmerizing blue eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt, studded leather jacket, black skinny jeans and black leather combat boots, I was captivated by him. He must be new. After the mysterious boy walked into the school, I saw Carry walking towards me.

"Hey Nik." She said, giving me a hug, I hugged back.

"Hey Carry." I said, with a soft smile.

We walked into the school, skipping breakfast as usual and going to homeroom.


After homeroom, I made my way to my first period class, math. I walked in seeing Mr. Crawford behind his desk. I walked to my usual seat in the back of the classroom. I pulled out my math book, notebook and pencil.

"Class may I have your attention please?" Our principal Mrs. Lynch said. I looked up and there, that mysterious boy was standing beside our principal.

"Class, this is Andrew Biersack, our new student. Find a seat young man." She said directing the last part to Andrew. Andrew walked to the back and picked the seat beside of me. He looked at me and smiled, I smiled back.

Later when it was lunch time, I walked to the cafeteria. I sat in the back where me, Carry, Zach, and Zach's friend Nathan sits.

All of us arrived to the table. We all started eating our lunch. I had a ham sandwich and a Pepsi.

"Did anyone see that new kid today? I believe his name is Andrew." Carry asked.

"Yeah, he's in my first period class." She snickered.

"Isn't he so hot?" She said, I shook my head.

"You think everyone is hot." She playfully slapped my arm.

"Do not! But do you think he's hot?" I nodded.

"Yeah...." I agreed.



The rest of the day went by as usual, only seeing Andrew a couple more time, which disappointed me. After school, me and Zach went home. The rest of the day, I couldn't help but think about Andrew.
