Black Sun
Summary
Rini Maeda is a twenty-two year old girl living in London. She attends university and works part time. Her life plods along at a normal pace until she winds up in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Sphinx 1 and Sphinx 2 are terrorists. They stole a dangerous amount of plutonium six months ago and some uranium two weeks ago. They intend to turn a shopping centre into a crater, but end up with a hostage, in the form of Rini.
Characters
Alastair Blake
A detective. Has been assigned to Operation Black Sun.
Ashley Purdy
Known as Sphinx 1. Terrorist and arms dealer by trade. Slightly more serious and a little sociopathic. Trained in hand to hand combat.
Christian 'CC' Coma
Known as Sphinx 2. A terrorist by trade. Is very humorous and jovial. Usually the one that thinks up the riddles.
Dani
Dani, or Subject 6743 is not a part of Sphinx. Came from the same compound as Sphinx though. Very casual and friendly. Likes collecting knives.
Leo 'Andre' Coleman
A shady lawyer, whose main clients are criminals. He is a close friend of Ashley and CC. He often intervenes to get them out of trouble. He believes they are just delinquents and has no idea of their true nature.
Luna
A girl. She has a history with Sphinx 1 and 2. Called in by police to investigate.
Rini Maeda
A studious, friendly university student. She likes animals and wants to be a vet. She is twenty two and lives in London in a block of flats. Has a bad habit of being in the wrong place.
