Goner

I breathed in deeply. It was a cool Sunday morning, and I was never awake at this hour. I took a sip of my tea. I walked towards my window.
The streets of Los Angeles. Already awake. I wish I could live in New York. The city that never sleeps.
*DING!*
My phone rang. I picked it up. CC. I picked up.
"Hello?"
"Good morning Yaz!" I heard.
"Good morning CC. What's up?"
"Uh. You see.." He sounded nervous. I took another sip. "We kinda lost Andy..." He said.
I spit the tea, spilling it on my window.
"You what?!"
"I uh. Yeah. After you left last night, we thought he stayed in his room. So I went to check up on him and well. He was gone."
"How?"
"Out the window." I sighed.
"I am dealing with a teenager.”
Just then, I heard a knock.
“Do you have any idea where he might’ve gone?” I asked, getting a lamp.
“Maybe your house?” He said.
“Alright. I’ll call back in a sec.” I said and hung up before he could say anything else. I held the lamp behind my back.
“Who is it?”
“It’s Jackson. Open up!” I let out a sigh of relief. I placed the lamp on the small table next to the door and opened.
“Jackie!”
“Again, don’t call me that!” He chuckled as he hugged me.
“You thought I wouldn’t visit?” I heard someone behind him.
“Sam!” I giggled and jumped off Jackson to hug him. He was holding a bottle of wine. My favorite.
“What are you guys doing here?” I asked.
“Well, Mrs. Wilson decided to give us a day off.” Jackson smiled.
“Well, aren’t you gonna invite us in?” Sam asked.
“We brought your favorites.” Jackson lifted up a basket. I smiled and let them in.
“Hey, I am at my house with some visitors, if Andy shows up text me.-Y” I texted CC.
“So young lady. What have you been up to?” Sammy asked, grabbing glasses of wine.
“Well, nothing much just new job.” I smiled and helped Jackson set the table.
“Why is your shirt wet?” Jackson asked. Shoot. I forgot to change after I spit out my tea.
“I uh. I spilled some tea.” I smiled.
“Wow. Was the tea that good?” He chuckled.
“What happened to that Andy boy? We haven’t seen him in weeks, and the special snowflake is crying in her room, ordering alcohol and ice cream.” Jackson asked.
“Well, that is personal information of the couple now is it?”
“Have you seen him?” Sammy asked, placing a half-baked pie in my oven. I never used my kitchen, so it was always clean.
“I work for him now.” I said as I took off some tour papers off my table. Jackson arranged the plates and glasses.
“You what?” Sammy asked, nearly burning his hand.
“Yeah.” I laughed nervously.
“Whoa, no wonder Juliet talked trash about you the day after you left.” Jackson said. I rolled my eyes.
“She’s just mad because I exposed her.” I laughed.

After we ate, we drank wine and ate delicious blueberry pie, made by Sammy. We were talking and laughing, remembering good old times and Sammy telling us jokes. I heard my phone ring once or twice, but I never really paid attention to it. Jackson was getting closer to me, not just physically, but somehow emotionally.
No. Yaz. No. Jackson is my brother.
“And then I told him,” Sam said, laughing and wiping a tear off his eye. “Who knows?” We all laughed. Just then, there was a knock on the door. I got up and walked over. Without asking or hesitating, I opened the door.
“May I-“ Before I knew it, a pair of lips touched mine. I gasped. I slapped the person.
“Ow!” I heard. I looked at the person who just kissed me.
“Is everything okay?” Sammy and Jackson walked over.
“Yeah.” I said.
“She slapped me!”
“Oh shut up you big baby!” I said as I pushed him to my bedroom.
“I’ll be right back guys.” I smiled nervously and closed the door.
