Heart of Fire

Whilst Ashley was helping us I couldn't help but notice that he was stealing glances at me every once in a while. What kind of person tells me to leave them alone but doesn't do the same to me? After we were finished Nicki rushed out mumbling something about meeting someone which I didn't believe, I'm sure she would talk to me afterward about "interrupting her."

Ashley was eyeing me but I tried to ignore him and went on my phone. Finally I got tired of this and looked at him, exasperated. "Your not really making me stay away from you any easier, you know."

"Well maybe I changed my mind."

"Why are guys so confusing?" I asked turning around, away from him.

"Look I-I'm really sorry about before, I didn't notice how beautiful you are." It seemed like he was having trouble finding the right words.

"Well if it's that hard to see I guess I'm not all that stunning, so don't even try to make excuses." I was getting fed up with him, first he wanted me gone and now this? He was really attractive and everything, but his attitude was starting to get on my nerves.

"But you are, I was just angry before... and I regret what I said. I want to get to know you." I didn't know what to say to this, in his voice he sounded honest, pleading almost. I mean...I guess everyone deserves a second chance, right? I barely knew the guy and maybe we just both got a wrong first impression.
I started to turn around, "Alright, I accept your "apology" but-" His lips suddenly crashed onto mine fiercely and powerful. To my surprise I kissed him back, and man was he good.

It felt as if all the tension was gone and every problem fell away. There was a definite electricity at every point we were touching. I was aware of every movement he made. His hands found my hips just barely touching the skin beneath my tank top. They started to inch their way up to my waist taking my shirt with them.

I had to tear myself from my fantasy. I put my hand on his chest and stopped kissing him. One, I just meet this guy. Two, I wasn't going to hook up with him in an equipment room. And three, we had a concert in ten minutes.

"Uhm, concert?" I said reminding him.

His eyes widened, "To be continued?" He asked starting to back up.

"Perhaps," I responded flashing him a smile.

I raced out of the room and found Nicki and Hudson. "What were you doing?" Hudson asked, "Your face is all red."

Great. And of course him pointing it out only made it worse. "Nothing just nerves." I responded dropping my eyes. I could tell that Nicki was eyeing me suspiciously.

*After the concert*

The energy was great, the audience was the best, screaming and cheering us on the loudest ever at all the right times. So I was in a really good mood afterward. I was talking to Jackson about a new shirt design when I heard a giggle in the corner. Naturally, my eyes were drawn there.

The giggle came from a blonde girl that was barely wearing any clothes and had on at least seven inch high heels. She was talking to Ashley and was twirling her hair and had a hand on his chest. Groupie. I'm sure my face twisted in disgust.

But what made me any different? Just a few hours ago we were kissing in the equipment room. I didn't know what to do, I was angry at myself that I let it happen.

I guess that Nicki was right as much as I hated to admit it. Just then they got up and walked out of the room his hand a bit too low on her back to be just friendly.

Well, I guess he had plans.
