Hiding It No More
*CC’s POV* CC paced nervously, he wasn't sure how to bring this up to anyone. Well, start from the beginning. Which was easier to imagine, the rest, not so much. He has a sister, one that wanted to be kept out of the spotlight. Living like a rock star wasn't too appealing to her when she had school and other normal things to enjoy. And how would the guys react? The others were like brothers to him. But he knew keeping a secret like this would only hurt them. CC cringed at the thought of that. It would hurt someone either way. And should he tell after the tour or during? So many things and CC knew he was thinking way too much into this. This had to be easier than he thought. He was so lost in thought that Andy came into the room, spooking him.
"Whoa there cowboy. What's gotten you so spooked?" Andy asked.
"Nothing, just thinking." CC said. Of my impending doom. Silly thought really, but sue him.
Andy raised a brow at that. "You're thinking awfully hard then. What's on your mind?" the singer asked him. CC was about to open his mouth when Ashley poked his head into the room they were currently in.
"We're going on soon guys! Better get ready!" Ashley said, bouncing on the balls of his feet in obvious excitement. Performing always had Ashley like this, giddy and excited.
Andy nodded, looked at CC one more time in a confused and concerned way, and went out the door. Well, there went the first chance. CC grabbed his drumsticks and sighed. Time to warm up and get ready. Telling them backstage, waiting for their queue to come out, CC couldn't even hear himself think. So there was no way he was shouting this to everyone. Not yet, the guys first, fans next. They got onto the stage after the announcer said their queue. CC got into place first, then Ashley, Jake, Jinxx, and then, finally, Andy. The concert went off without a hitch, of course. But CC still felt that nervousness inside of him.
He needed to tell the guys, and soon, before someone else found out before he could tell them. Getting changed into drier clothes and going out was something they all did after a show. So it seemed the right place to tell. No one would care or dig into their business. But as soon as he walked in, he knew this was a bad idea. Ashley had his eyes on a pretty blonde girl, Andy was off somewhere and Jake and Jinxx were playing pool, slamming a shot down every time they missed. CC was getting irritated, he needed to tell them, now. So, with that thought, he grabbed everyone, one by one. And took them outside of the bar. They weren't happy with him.
"Quit it guys. This is serious. I have to tell you something." CC said, with a serious look on his face that didn't come by him often. So they listened, boozed up, but at least they weren't brawling over him taking away their fun for a little bit.
He took a deep breath and looked at each of his band mates. "I have a sister guys." he said softly. They all looked at him funny, like they didn't believe him. CC growled and whipped out his wallet and showed him a picture of his sister and himself with their family.
"Her name is Kacey. And she's real, I'm not making this up." CC said, showing it to them and making sure he made an impact on that statement.
Irritated enough for one day, he put the photo away and went inside the bar to grab his keys and drumsticks and made a gesture of going towards the bus before moving off. He jut told the guys, they were too boozed up right now. So he hoped they would remember. But if not, the picture was there. And questions would be answered. Now how will the fans react to this?
