Broken Frames

*Serina*

I look behind me, waiting for Analyse to get out. She walks up to me, her blue-green hair falling in her eyes. I smile and hug her quickly before leading the way to the front office. Analyse is wearing a baggy, black hoodie with some oversized charcoal gray pants tied tightly so that they won’t fall off her hips. I snort, for a succubus, she sure doesn’t act like one. It’s nice though.

“Hey Serina! Where are you going?” Mamine calls out to me as she waves.

“I’m taking Analyse to the front office before giving her a tour of the school. Why, do you want to come?” I quirk a brow. She makes a face.

“No, you know that lady in the office doesn’t like me.”

“Wonder why,” I murmur.

“Because I’m just too much for her!” She strikes an exaggerated pose. We both bust out laughing, at her silliness. Seriously though, the front office lady/receptionist truly doesn’t like her; she’s always eyeing Mamine as though she’s about to rob her or something. Maybe it’s because there’s animosity between Mamine’s ancestors and hers? I’m fairly certain from her scent that she’s part Orc, or at least Oni. Let me tell you, they have such similar stenches, at least the more common breeds do.

“Hello? Earth to Serina?” I blink and look back up, feeling Shawn’s eyes on me. I quirk a brow in response. She just shakes her head. “You really need to stop spacing out; especially since I was discussing a shopping trip.” I blanch, turning white, well, whiter than I am.

“Do I have to?” I whine as I bat my eyelashes at her. She just smirks.

“Yes. You do. You know I love dressing you up like a girl.” I gulp.

“I’ll only go if we go to Victoria’s Secret and Hot Topic.” I grumble. She grins and nods.

“Deal.” I sigh.

“You’re buying me band merch and stuff for this.” I grumble and she just giggles.

‘You know Serina, you shouldn’t let her get under your skin quite so much. You have such strong olfactory functions for an Elf; it is quite strange.’ I stick my tongue out at Analyse.

‘You shouldn’t complain. I’ve let you play dress up with me before.’ I tell her. She grins.

‘So you did. I made you look good, didn’t I?’ I huff.

‘Yes you did. Guess your succubus traits do come in handy, especially since you’re not like most succubi. You don’t try to dress me in an outfit that’s see through.’ I concede. ‘Come now, here we are.’

We walked into the front office. Right away Mrs. DeCatine glances up sharply. Her beady black eyes glance at me before studying Analyse.

“New girl?” I nod. She merely grunts. “Name?”

“Analyse Marie-Ann Nikki Copres.” Analyse and I answer together. She clicks her tongue while she begins rummaging through her cabinet, looking for Analyse’s schedule. She finds it after a few minutes of rummaging, and looking up, hands it to Analyse. She goes back to dutifully typing away on her computer about who knows what, signaling the end of our encounter.

I turn on my heel and walk out the door, Analyse on my heels. I grab her schedule and glance over it before handing it back to her; we have the exact same classes. I internally smirk as I feel everyone turn to gawk at us—well, Analyse anyway. Even in her baggy clothes, guys gravitate to her. I snicker slightly as I see a few begin to drool.

‘Need some help with that?’ I ask her. She barely nods. I chuckle softly before reciting a spell the two of us came up with when we were much younger; the spell conceals her succubus nature as well as a few other things. The guys stop drooling but they still stare at her. Girls glare at her in envy as she walks closer to me. My ears pick up “new girl” comments. My eyes narrow but I maintain my mask.

We arrive at where my friends are standing, looking at the whole spectacle with amusement in their eyes. I roll my eyes. Analyse looks at me, waiting for me to give her a sign. I give an imperceptible nod, at least it would be to anyone but her. She looks at me once more before going to mingle with my friends. I watched with the eyes of a mother hawk, waiting for someone to do something wrong, inappropriate, basically anything that could upset her. She glows with a light, though nowhere near as bright as it once was. From looking at her, you would never be able to guess that she’s a broken frame.

*Unknown*

Mhmmm. The new girl looks delicious. I’ll have fun making her cry. What sweetens the deal is that she hangs out with Serina. I audibly lick my lips, my eyes darkening to a crimson color as all the possibilities to make them scream, cry, and such run through my twisted brain. Oh what fun my demented brain comes up with.

*Unknown (Once Again)*

I watch the two girls walk to the group by the tree. My eyes travel to It as a sneer attempts to work its way on my face. I sigh. I suppose I’ll just have to reveal myself sooner than I thought. But first, I need to see their combat skills even though I get the feeling from the two that they have seen battle; and have killed many in battle. Those two strike me as the type to not play around with anything and to show no mercy unless deserved. Hn…perhaps that’s why It’s so interested in them. Then again, It has always been interested in Serina. Well, more like obsessed. This translated over to anyone who came in regular contact of her.

I snort, out loud this time. It acts as though Serina is Its mate. Or at least, intended. My eyes travel back to my two charges, (well they are to me since I’ve discovered Its interest in the girl). I just hope I won’t have to interfere…I know I will if It decides It is bored; or, for that matter, if It feels a whim to.
