Andy's P.O.V

One Week Later

Aaliyah and I started to spend a lot of time together, spending time with Aaliyah was also spending time with her mother and I loved that more than anything.
Since I haven’t been able to speak to Juliet about my daughter, I haven’t been able to make the modifications to my home, I wanted to turn the guest room into her room and I really just couldn’t wait to have her over but it has to wait, on the other hand I was able to take her over to the guys, who already knew about her existence, the mall, park, pick her up after school, take her to her mom’s and such.

Currently I was at Jinxx’s house, Aaliyah was taking a nap and we were in the kitchen having a drink, well he was having more than one, I couldn’t because I had to drive back to Maddie’s.

“So, would you mind telling me how you brought that beautiful creature into the world and didn’t know about her?”
I sighed, “Do we really need to talk about it?”
“Yes, we have to”
“Well, Maddie and I go way back, we were neighbors, our mother’s met in high school, we got along really well, they would come over for every Thanksgiving, Christmas and even barbecues, my parents just considered them family, my whole family did.
Eventually we grew up being the best of friends, she would always be there to support me and knock some sense into me if needed, she supported my dreams and I supported hers, at some point our friendship turned into something more, I can almost say I always had feelings for her, we grew up and my shot to be in a band came up and I had to move out of town, while I was away there was no contact whatsoever, I went back almost a year later, she was there, still beautiful, still perfect and still waiting for me when she could have any man she wanted”
“Damn, you’re right”
“We resumed our love story, my parents left one night for their anniversary and we made love...Jinxx it was perfect, I’ve never felt that way before not even with Juliet, the next day I received a call from the label, both of us knew what it meant, another long period of time away from her, away from home...I left two weeks later and I thought we called it quits but I’m sure we didn’t, so yeah I started to get wild in the road, partying, meeting up with girls and maybe that broke her heart enough to just leave town and leave me behind like I left her”
“So, from that one time, Aaliyah was conceived?" he asked.
I nodded, “My parents knew about her pregnancy, yet they didn’t do anything to stop her and they didn’t tell me anything either, because she asked them not to”
“It sounds to me; she knew a baby wasn’t in your plans and you were just starting to live your dream”
“JInxx, my dream didn’t matter if it meant I was going to have her and our baby girl and I went back home because I felt empty, I felt depressed and all I wanted was to see her but she was long gone, her mother passed away and I wasn’t even there to hold her or to promise Mrs. Wright I would take care of her”
“You still love her, don’t you?”
“As if it was the first day but it’s no use if she doesn’t love me back"
“I know you and I know you’ve been thinking about winning her over”
I nodded, “I had but it just seems impossible”
“By what you’ve told me right now, you guys should be engaged, better yet, married by now”
I smiled at the thought,” Mrs. Madison Biersack, it sounds beautiful just like her”
“Mrs. Juliet Biersack"
I sighed, “Right”
“It’s your call"
“I just can’t leave Juliet, no matter how much I love Maddie”
“Facts, but you still have a daughter who depends on every decision you make”.
“I know”
Talking about this with Jinxx made me realize a bunch of things, Maddie deserved nothing but the best and I wanted to be the best but I couldn’t be the best for her because I was already in a relationship but at the same time the thought of Maddie with another man made me sick.
“Andy”, Aaliyah tugged on my shirt to gain my attention. I smiled and picked her up, she still looked sleepy.
“Ready to go home?”
She nodded.
“Say bye to uncle Jinxx”
“Bye uncle Jinxx” she said as she blew him a kiss.
“Bye sweetheart” he said.
Jinxx walked us to the driveway, he helped me to place Aaliyah in her car seat and I drove back to Maddie’s place. I looked at the rearview to see she fell asleep once again, she was really really tired. I pulled up at Maddie’s driveway, I got off the car and opened the back door to get my daughter out, being careful not to wake her up, I wanted to take her straight to bed.
I walked towards the door and knocked, Maddie was quick to open the door, I greeted her and walked towards Aaliyah’s bedroom, I already know my way through the house, I tucked her in and kissed her forehead.
“I love you, my baby girl” I whispered.
“She loves you too”
I turned around to see Maddie was leaning to the door and smiling.
“I know she does” I said as I walked towards her.
“Thank you for being such a wonderful father” she said as she took my hands in hers.
“Thank you for being such a wonderful mother”
“Andy, I’m sorry”
I frowned, “Sorry for what?”
“For not telling you when I had to”
“Maddie, it’s okay” I took her right hand to my lips and kissed it, “I’m here now and I’m not going anywhere, I promise”
She smiled, “Want to stay for dinner?”
“Wouldn’t mind if I do”
I’m happy, more than I’ve ever been.
