Andy's P.O.V

Five days later, 10:00 a.m.

My parents already left, Juliet went to visit hers and I only have the guys to hang out with and I suppose to see them today but I don’t feel like getting out of the house so I decided to invite them over, they should be here by 1 p.m. so I have a lot of time in my hands, I’m thinking about sleeping because lately I’ve been having sleepless nights…when I was about to head to my bedroom the doorbell rang.

I was wondering who could it be since I wasn’t expecting anyone but the guys, I just decided to walk towards the door and there was a girl standing there, well a woman…it seems she’s in her early 20’s and it seems like she has been crying.

“Hi, how can I help you?” I asked.
“Andy Biersack?” she asked.
I nodded.
“Can I walk in?”
I know it’s stupid to let a stranger into your house but I just nodded, she didn't seem to be in a good place and if I let her go, I would kind of feel responsible for whatever happens to her if she leaves, she walked in and I closed the door and led her towards the living room.
“Please take a seat” I said.
She did as told and I took a seat at the couch across from her, “Will you like anything to drink?”
She shook her head, “I need to talk to you”
“Go ahead”
“Does the name Madison Charlotte Wright sound familiar to you?”
I was shocked; it’s been a long time since the last time I heard that name, six years to be precise. How did she even know Madison? Is she a friend of hers? How did she find me?
“Let me tell you what’s been of her” she said. “You were her first love, she loved you so much that she gave herself to you before you could leave to pursue your dream“
“I don’t wish to speak about that”
“She left town to pursue her dream too and she’s closer than you think”
“She is?”
“She’s Alternative Press editor in chief, so yes she’s closer than you think”
“She works for Alternative Press?” I asked. “But I’ve never seen her before”
“She’s been trying to stay away from you because both of you have separate lives now”
“Is there a way for me to speak with her?” I asked.
“First, let me tell you that she was pregnant”
“What?”
“Madison was pregnant with your child”
I had to stand up for this. I couldn’t believe what this girl was saying…I’m a dad?
“She decided to have the baby”
“I’m a father?”
She nodded, “Her name is Aaliyah Violette, she doesn’t have your name because you never claimed her as yours and now that little girl needs you”
I smiled, “I’m a dad”
I swear I couldn’t be happier, I have a daughter…
“Yes, you’re a dad” she said. “An absent dad”
“But I didn’t know about her, how old is she?”
“She’s 4 and she’ll turn 5 on November”
“You said she needs me?” I asked.
She nodded and sadness was clear on her face, “She was diagnosed with cancer”
“What?”
She took a deep breath, “And apparently you can save her because I can’t”
“Where’s Maddie?”
She stood up, “Standing right in front of you”
I was about to lose it, my high school sweetheart was standing in front me, I have a daughter and she was diagnosed with cancer...my God.
“Madison?” I asked, still not believing it.
“Hi Andy”
I looked at her eyes. Madison has this beautiful, unmistakable shade of green you can’t find anywhere and for sure I knew it was her. I walked towards her and hugged her, held her for as long as I could and kissed her forehead.
“Maddie--”
“No…save this for later and please help me save my daughter”
“Our daughter” I said. “I need to meet her, I want to see her”
“We can go to the hospital”
I nodded without thinking twice about it, “Yes of course”
I grabbed my car keys and we walked out of the house.

At the hospital

We walked into the room, I could see a little girl in her bed playing with her teddy bear and watching TV, I got closer and I could see her features and she’s so beautiful.

“Violette, my love” Maddie said as she got closer to her and kissed her cheek.
She giggled and smiled, “Hi mommy, hi stranger”
I smiled when she waved at me, “Hi Aaliyah”
“This is Andy, my love” Maddie introduced me, her voice sounded so broken when she said my name. “He wanted to meet you”
“Why you wanted to meet me?” she asked. “Are you my mommy’s boyfriend?”
I smiled and got closer, “No, but I wish I was”
Maddie looked at me and I looked at her lovely and fragile eyes.
“Do you love her?”
“I’ve loved her all my life, Aaliyah” I answered.
“You’re not going to hurt her, are you?”
I shook my head, still looking at Maddie, “I won’t”
“You’re not going to be mean to me, are you?”
I frowned and looked at my daughter, “Why will I be mean to you?”
“Her last boyfriend was” she said as she looked at her hands.
“Baby girl, no one will be mean to you ever again” I said as I took a seat in her bed and hugged her.
“You promise?”
I smiled and kissed her forehead, “I do”
Now having my daughter in my life everything changes.
