My Fallen Angel

I had been watching him for a long time now, and my heart was breaking. He had been falling farther and farther, and if he didn't do something soon he would be too far gone for us to save him.
He was an angel, he wasn't meant for the impurities of a human life. We weren't meant to experience such things and then expect to leave and forget all of it. But Andiel was one of our strongest, most loyal, and look what being borne human had done to him.
I couldn't let this go on.
The demons were with him and he couldn't fight all of them by himself. I dreaded the thought, the consequences of what I was going to do for him, but I couldn't let this go on.
I would rather be cursed to earth and forbidden from my Lords land then to let the angel I had fallen in love with go to Hells Gates and be one of his. I had to save him, even at the cost of my wings.
At the cost of everything.
Even if it destroyed me.
Andiel, I thought, watching him from above like I had all of his human life. I had protected him best I could without interfering, had looked away at all of his indiscretions, and had tried to help.
Our Maker knew the strain it was for me, and I had obeyed Him for so many milleniums I couldn't even remember.
But I couldn't this once.
May He forgive me.
