The monster inside

Chapter 3-I need you!
I woke up in the dark, I had blood running out of my nose and in my hair, my knee hurt and I was bruised from head to toe. I moved and my back was burning with pain. I could move all 10 of my fingers and toes. I could move my arms, legs, and neck with only minimal pain. I tried to sit up and my back begged me to stop, but I ignored the pain and looked around. There was a door, locked of course, and a chair and a bed. I heard footsteps upstairs and I didn't know where I was, I suddenly realized dad had put me in the storm shelter. No... No no no no, this is bad, I hate being in small places, I can't do it. I screamed. I heard footsteps come down the stairs.
My eyes fluttered open to a red roof and a few deep male voices that I recognized. I sat up.. And instantly regretted it. I looked around and felt tears spring into my eyes, Andy yelled for Jake, who was the only one not in the room. He came running in and looked at me. I must've been the image of ultimate sadness. He rushed over to me and scooped me up And was rubbing my back.
I woke up what I assumed was a few hours later. There wasn't anyone on the bus. I stood up and called out for Jake. No answer. I went back to the bunks and peeked into all of them, Jake was in the middle one. I poked him on the nose, when he didn’t move I climbed up the ladder and laid on top of him. He opened his eyes a little, he wrapped his arms around me and I felt instantly safer. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hoped that I'd get a little sleep.
