Unknown Being

Matt dreaded going downstairs and having to face Cat. What the hell happened to Cat? He scratched his head.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," Cat said with a cheeky wink.

"What's with you, Kit-Kat," Matt questioned.

Cat put on an innocent face, cocking her head just a tad. "What do you mean, Mattie?"

"You teased me! You rubbed yourself on my hard-on and you know it! And since when do you call me Mattie?"

"Oh Mattie," Cat laughed, "Can't you tell? It's so easy."

"What are you talking about," Matt asked.

"Oh Mattie. I have feelings for you, silly! Isn't it obvious?"

Matt stared at his friend who now smiled dangerously. "You have feelings for me," he asked incredulously.

"Yes Mattie, I do. You're my best friend. You're kind and awesome and you're strong and oh my god you're so hot! Like seriously."

"Kit-Kat, are you okay?"

She nodded, a smile on her face. "Perfectly fine, Mattie."

"Do you have to call me Mattie?"

"I can stop if you'd like, Matt."

"Much appreciated."

She giggled and approached him. "You're so hot. Your face is so defined, you're tall, strong. Oh god, Matt, stop making me want you!"

"Kit-Kat…"

"Keep calling me that, Matt. It makes me feel so happy."

He grabbed her shoulders. "You need to calm down, Cat. Are you sure you're okay? Not sick or anything?" He felt her forehead. She felt fine.

"I'm not okay, because you're so close to me. How I wish you were mine."

"I am. I'm your best friend." She smiled and shook her head.

"I meant only mine. My boyfriend." She stroked his cheek. "I could help you feel so good about yourself."

"Kit-Kat…"

She interrupted with a sudden but tender kiss. He didn't pull away. "I feel lust for you, Matt, but at the same time, and more importantly, I feel attracted to your personality. You're my best friend and we're already so close and it was so easy to fall. You've gone through so much and I want to give myself to you so I can help you."

"Oh Cat, you already do," he said, feeling less intimidated. "I wouldn't call you my best friend otherwise, silly girl."

"I could give you more," she said quietly. "You'd feel more wanted. Vince said that I didn't want you the way Kayla wants him but he's wrong. I do. I want to make you feel a new type of pleasure and happiness so that you always remember that I'm here."

Matt shushed her with a finger to her lips. "You can't convince me. I'm sorry, Kit-Kat, but I don't like you that way. But I do care about you and I appreciate you telling me. Maybe someday, when the time is right, I'll have feelings for you. But for now, we're just friends. I know it hurts but I can't force myself to just like you that way." He hugged her and held her comfortingly. "Maybe one day. I don't know, Cat."

Cat held back tears as she felt her heart crack in many places. "Well I'm yours," she whispered. She began to cry softly. Matt stroked her hair, comforting her.

After a while, Cat's tears stopped and she felt better. "Thank you for being so kind, Matt," she said with a soft smile.

"You're welcome. You're my best friend; remember that."

Cat kissed his cheek gently. "And you're my best friend."

They finally ate breakfast and then decided to jam out downstairs. Cat played piano while Matt sang; they even did a duet of Lost It All. Matt got his guitar out and played Saviour, much to Cat's delight. They spent the whole day playing and replaying various songs by all kinds of bands - BVB, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Iron Maiden (which didn't sound that great without an electric guitar), and more. They just had a great day enjoying other's companionship.
