One Shots

"Viktoria, don't you dare walk away from me!" Nicholas Matthews yelled at his 24-year-old girlfriend.

"Why? So you can just scream some more?!"

Nicholas is angry because Viktoria won't go out unto the world and discover her talents. He wants what's best for her, and right now she is just being stubborn.

"You know what Nick? I'm done! We're over! I'm sick of you nagging and nagging that I don't do anything except sit on my ass & watch reality shows. Goodbye!" She said as she opened the door to leave.

But before she had her second foot out of the door, Nicholas grabbed her by the wrist gently.

"You know I can never be myself without you." He said in a sincere voice.

Viktoria had a lump in her throat.

"I'm sorry, Nick. But I really can't." 

Tears started to well up, but she stood her ground & turned & walked away.

Hours later, as Viktoria stopped at a Starbucks to get a Berries 'N Cream frappacinno, her phone starts to ring.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Yes, this is Dr. Alejandro Garcia calling from Saint Anne's Hospital. Is this Viktoria?"

"Yes. What's this about?"

"A Nicholas Matthews was brought in of an attempted overdose, and I thought I should notify his emergency contact."

Viktoria fell to the floor & people nearby came & helped her to her car.

She sped all the way to the hospital.

When she arrived, she walked to the front desk & asked the nurse.

The nurse showed her the way & Viktoria was horrified by the scene before her.

Nicholas was attached to a lot of tubes & wires. He was also surrounded by machines that had his vitals, BP, he had an oxygen mask covering his face.

"Shit." She whispered.

She drug one hospital chair to his bedside, & took one of his hands.

"I promise never to leave you again. I'll get my life on track. I'll do anything, just stay with me, Nick!" She whispered.

Just then, something amazing happened.

Nick opened his eyes!

"Vik...I'm sorry!" He stuttered.

"Don't worry about me, just concentrate on getting better!"

Three weeks later, Nick was released from the hospital.

He proposed to Viktoria and.... She said YES!
