Tell Me I'm Dreaming

Jake’s POV-

Andy and Clary came over to our table, smiling and laughing… I couldn’t help but feel a little jealous… I mean, I’m not that stupid to think I’ll ever have a chance with Andy, but still… I hope she won’t hurt him…

Andy’s POV-

~time lapse~

I couldn’t help but feel a bit attracted to Clary…. I guess I formed a little crush… but I kind of think its weird… she has a boyfriend upstairs…. Yes he abused her and yes she will probably dump him if she hasn’t already, but I still find it weird…
I felt a nudge on my shoulder, snapping me out of my thoughts.

‘’Huh?’’ I looked up, seeing Clary looking at me.
‘’Sorry… you zoned out… I’m just going to the bathroom, excuse me.’’ She said, standing up.
‘’Okay.’’ I replied, watching her walk to the bathroom.

Clary’s POV-

After I finished in the bathroom, and started back to the diner, I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned to see the same guy from the gas station! (Nick, but she doesn’t know that).
Images came flashing back, from that night and I screamed, and back into the girls bathroom, locking myself into a stall… luckily there were other girls in here, so he wouldn’t come…
I paced around the small stall, trying to calm my panic breathing…. Why was he here? How did he find me? Did he follow me here? Does he want to kidnap me?
My thinking just worsened by anxiety attack….
I would call Andy, but I don’t have his number… I decided to call Carly, as I didn’t know what to do, she always helped my panic attacks…

Carly-‘’Hello? Clary?’’
Me-‘’C-carly, help me… I’m freaking out!’’
(Carly was used to these calls from me)
Carly-‘’Whoa whoa… Clary, shh calm down. Follow my breathing’’
Carly took deep slow calm breathes, and once I controlled my breathing, I said.
Me-‘’Carly, please help me…’’
Carly-‘’What happened, hun?’’
I realised that Carly didn’t even know about the gas station incident…. Causing me to just break down in sobs.
Carly-‘’ Hey, darling… it’s okay… where are you, I’ll come to you.’’
Me- ‘’H-hotel, diner, bathroom…’’ I started thinking about how I would have to tell her…. My breathing started to go faster.
Carly-‘’Shh… It’s okay, I’m getting in the car now, and putting you on speaker phone… keep calming your breathes with mine, okay? Copy me.’’
I copied her breathing, calming myself down, then I heard someone come in, and knock on my cubicle.

‘’Clary, is that you?’’

I opened the door, seeing Carly, I ran to her and wrapped my arms around her.
She hugged me back, playing with my hair.
‘’W-was there a guy out there?’’ I asked.
‘’What guy?’’ She asked, confused.
‘’Brown hair….’’
‘’No…’’

I sighed in relief… he’s gone, for now.

‘’Why? What’s going on, Clare?’’ She asked, a concerned look on her face.
I sighed really heavily, trying to hold back my tears, and started to explain everything to her…

~time lapse~

After I told her everything, I was in her arms, and suddenly remembered Andy and the guys were waiting for me…
‘’Carly? I just remembered, remember when I told you I was with Andy?’’ I started.
‘’Yeah?’’ She asked, continuing to softly pat my hair.
‘’Well, he and the other guys were waiting for me….’’ I said.
‘’Okay, we better go then, come on…’’ She said.
