The sound of the machines
He's dying.
The love of my life...is dying.
I stood by his side, he wasn't he same man I fell for.
His skin was pale, his eyes had gone grey, the only thing that still looked the same was his hair. He wasn't my muscular boyfriend.
He was so skinny.
Ashley Purdy had cancer.
I held his cold hand and squeezed it tightly. His eye lids slid open slowly and I noticed something I had been missing for the last few months. A smile. Ash smiled again. It brought tears to my eyes.
"Andy?" His voice had gone weak
"I'm here baby" I had tears forming in my eyes.
"I'm dead" he laughed to himself
"No! No your not! Your very much alive and you could still make.."
"Don't." He cut me off "don't say I could make it when we both know very well that I won't. We both know I'm better off dead."
The tears rolled down my cheeks, hearing him say it was the most painful part.
He started laughing again "it's fine. I'm fine. I'm happy, it doesn't matter if I die right this second because I'm happy. And that's thanks to you! I'm happy because I have you by my side. Thank you Andy, your all I need"
"But Ash I need you too!" I cry out! I couldn't take this!
He shook his head. "No Andy. You want me. I want you but because I'm dying I need you to make me happy right now. Trust me on this though. When I'm gone, you'll find another source of happiness"
"I don't want anything else. Your everything I could ever want" I was sobbing. He doesn't realise how much he means to me.
This is the most important man in my life. The man I want to spend the rest of my life with. If he leaves me I don't want to go on! I don't want to live in a world without Ashley Purdy. I won't live in a world without Ashley Purdy!
"Andy, I know I won't live for very long but that doesn't matter. I might not live long enough for this but I don't want to die without asking. Will you marry me Andrew Biersack?"I felt my heart stop and for a moment it was like my Ashley was back, healthy and well again. I felt like anything was possible. I felt like I could jump out of the window and survive just because of this man.
"Yes. Yes Ashley Purdy i will marry you!"
I practically screamed! He asked me to marry him! Oh my god! Oh my god! He gave the biggest smile i had ever seen on His face. Ever! And it felt like the old Ashley, the man I fell in love with was back.
"I love you!" I cried but this time With happiness
"Andy I love you too! I love you so fucking much" I brant over and threw my arms around him.
