Chapter 2: All They Do Is Push You To The Edge
Darcys POV
school was so so stupid. my mum had taught me all the stuff that i would ever need while i was younger so i was there to just go over some bits and mum said it was important to socialise... but why would i want to socialise with girls who made me feel worthless day in and day out.
the girls at school, the popular ones, would pick on all the little flaws i had. my lack of friends, lack of fashion, lack of knowlage about my father....why did they care anyway! its not like its there dad is it?! thoughts of my dads identity bothered me everyday. so i plugged my head phones in a turned up all the music on my playlist...it soothed me. the voices singing about what they believed in, music with a beat like a heart and lyrics full of soul, it made me feel better.
luckily after rushing out of school to aviod the mean words that the kids could scream at me while they are just finding something to do to waste their time before they could go home and prepare the next line of insults. i ran home music still filling my head with beautiful meaning and rhythms, until i ran in the front door.
"mum im home! and i talked to the teacher about that confrence you want with the head teacher, they said you need to ring up," i said as i walked in, dropping my black and white stripped bag on the tiled floor in the kitchen. i walked over to the fridge and got out a can of coke and slowly sipped before my answered me.
"Darcy, darling, can you come here for a minute please?" mum called in from the living room
"um,kay, mum whats going on..." oh my god. Andy biersack was sat across from my mum in my front room. he could see all the baby photos i had ever had taken. oh my god!
"Darcy, this is Andy, he's-"
"hes in BVB mum! you dont have to tell me who he is!" i cut my mum off, practically fangirlling and embarassing myself infront of my biggest role model in the whole entire world!
"Darc, andy is in a band, but he is also your, urm Darcy this is your dad."
my whole world just came in and imploded all at once. he isnt my dad. he cant be i mean, no...
"hey, Darcy, urm im sorry about -" Andy biersack, the guy that had saved my life through his music multiple times, the guys that had made me feel better about myself through his quotes and funny interviews, the guy that my mum had told my stories about from the past, but she always hid his name.. now i understand.
"your sorry now?! 16 years to late 'DAD'," i said with quotations, "just leave me alone! both of you!" i screamed as i ran to my room and ripped down all my BVB posters. the comfort of my pillow felt the impact of my tears. until i got a knock at my door, it was Andy.
"sweetie, i mean, Darcy, we need to talk, can i come in, please?" his eyes identical to mine stared at me. what am i meant to do now...
