"Umm.." You had no idea what to say, so instead you pulled away from Andy & slid out of your booth. "I'm going to run to the ladies' room, real quick. You got this, Andy?" You asked, turning to him.
"Uh, yeah. Go ahead." You quickly turned & made your way to the restrooms. Catching Ashley glaring at Andy, out of the coner of your eye, as you did.
You did your business then reapplied some of your makeup, & strolled back out. You didn't make it far though, Ashley was standing in your way. He grabbed you by the shoulders & pushed you back into the girls bathroom.
"Ashley, what are you doing?! You can't be in here."
"Ember, we need to talk.." He paused & searched the bathroom to see if anyone else was in there with you. Once he knew you were for sure alone, he walked back over to you & locked the door. You crossed your arms over your chest & raised an eyebrow at him.
"What about?"
"You need to stay away from Andy. He's dangerous. I understand he means well & he's a sweet guy, but if he loses his temper. His control, for even a second, he could hurt you. Even kill you. He damn near killed his last girlfriend.. It was an accident, but stil-" You cut him off.
"Girlfriend? Ashley, Honey, there is nothing going on between Andy & I. We've kissed, & we hold hands every now & then, but that's it. There is nothing going on with Andy & I."
"Well, he seems to think otherwise. He told me last night he's really into you & he wants to try being with you.."
"He said that?" Your heart began to do flips in your chest & butterflies errupted in your stomache. Did you like him too? Ashley gave you a concerned look.
"Don't get involved with him, Ember. He's like my brother, don't get me wrong, but he's dangerous." His dark brown eyes were filled with worry, you sighed.
"I'm sorry sweetheart, but it's a little too late for that.."
"What do you mean?" You sighed again & looked down at the floor while pulling your hair back & showing him Andy's mark. He gasped, stunned.
"Shit.."
"What, he didn't tell you?"
"No he didn't tell me, he told me everything else but he sure as Hell didn't tell me he fucking marked you.." He was starting to get pissed, the look on his face went from shocked to pissed beyond belief. His eyes had turned yellow, & his fang like teeth were visible. He spun towards the door, growling. You knew what he was going to do. He was going to go confront Andy. Cause a scene & possibly start a fight. You couldn't let that happen, so you jumped infront of it to stop him.
" Ashley, no! Calm down. What's the problem? Why are you upset?" You asked, grabbing his shoulders.
"I'm not just upset, I'm pissed because, one. He lied to me, he told me nothing else happened. & Two, he barely even knows you.." He growled, but then paused. Took a couple deep breaths & started to calm down.
His eyes eventually returned back to their normal coffee hue, & his teethe went back to normal aswell. Then he cotinued. "When an Incubus marks a human, that means they're his soul mate. & They're then bound together forever, from that point on. It's like.. Marrying that person, except there's no going back. You can't get a 'divorce', you can't reverse it, you can't just walk away if something goes wrong. & You certainly can't be with another person other than them again.." You were in shock.
"What do you mean I can't ever be with another person? Will Andy kill them, or something?"
"No, not exactly."
"Is there some kind of force that drives me away from other men, or something? Or drives them away from me?"
"Not exactly. You can date other people, but they can never please you.."
"Please me? Like, physically? Or will I never be emotionally attatched to anyone other than Andy, ever again?"
"Um, both, in a way.." Now you were confused. A bit pissed, & kind of sad, but for some reason. You also didn't really mind much. It was as if it really wasn't that big of a deal. You should be hysterical by this point, but you weren't.. "You can date other people, & you can be physical with them, but no one other than Andy can make you.. Well, to put it bluntly, orgasm. & You can't have children with anyone other than him.. You also will never be able to be in a relationship with someone else without feeling like part of you is missing. It would drive you crazy, make you depressed. You'll never be able to be happy, with anyone but him. & The same goes for him." You just stood there, starring at him. Your mouth hanging open, & your mind racing.
"So technically, now. Andy's my only choice?"
"Yes & you're his as well. An Incubus can only mark one person, & once they mark them, they're stuck together forever.." Now you were starting to freak out a bit. You took a deep breath, to try & calm yourself, but it didn't help much. "Now do you see why I'm so pissed? He barely knows you & he marked you. Without thinking it through. Thinking about the consequences.. He didn't even think about marking his last girlfriend, & they were together for three years.. & Now you're stuck with him & he's stuck with you. No offence."
"None taken, I get what you're saying.." You stood there in silence for a moment, looking down at your boots while you let everything soak in. You finally looked back up at Ashley. "If you don't mind, I need a moment alone to think things over.."
"Alright, I should probably get going anyway, I don't want people to think something's going on in here." He winked at you, you have him a half smile & a light chuckle.
"Hey, don't say anything to Andy, please? & Please try not to lash out at him. I don't want you two to fight.. I'll talk to him about all this once we get back to the hotel or when he drops me off back at home or something.."
"Alright, I won't. I promise. I'm sorry.. By the way."
"There's nothing anyone can do about it now, I guess we'll just have to deal with it now. We're kind of past the point of no return.." He just gave you an apologetic half smile, & left. Leaving you to your thoughts.
You stayed there, for a few minutes, thinking about everything he had just told you. Why would Andy do that? He didn't even know your name. Was it like, love at first sight? Or was he high, or something? Why didn't he tell you? What was going to happen, if you didn't fall for Andy? Would you fall for Andy? Were you already falling for him? What was it going to be like, being with the same guy forever? What did Ashley mean when he said 'forever'? Would you two make it as a couple? You being human & all & him being an Incubus.. What if he lost control? What if he tried to kill you? Would he want to? Maybe he could change you, like Vampires do in movies & what not. Would you want to change? Was it possible? What would happen if he fell in love with someone else & you were hopelessly in love with him?
You groaned, slid down to the floor, & dropped your face in your hands. Your mind was reeling, your emotions were running high, & you didn't know what to do. You obviously have to talk to Andy about it. Would he be mad that you showed Ashley the mark? He obviously didn't tell him for a reason. Should you be mad at him? Should you be upset / depressed? Should you be happy? He was a great guy. He was funny, intelligent, sweet, romantic. Not to mention gorgeous, & just your type too. Maybe this wasn't so bad. Maybe you were wrong..
Your phone buzzed, bringing you out of your thoughts.

Hey, where are you? You've been gone an awfully long time. Are you alright? ~Andy

Yeah, sorry. Just wanted to make sure I gave you enough time to talk everything over with the guys. I'll be back in just a second. ~Ember

Ok =) Then we can go back to the hotel & watch a movie or something? Before I have take you home. ~Andy
