"Now?" You groaned, sitting up. "This can't wait til morning?"
"No. I'm still pissed about what happened tonight." He turned to you with a serious look on his face.
"If you're here just to reprimand, you can leave. I don't want to hear it.." You said, pulling your knees up to your chest. He walked over to the bed til he was standing right in front of you.
"You need to stop being so careless. You could have been raped tonight. Not to mention, killed." You glared at him.
"Excuse you? What do you care? I'm your play-thing, remember?"
"You're still a living, breathing being. I may not be human, but I'm not heartless. & I couldn't stand seeing those bastards touching you like that.."
"So, you attacking me, scaring me to the point of mental scarring. Kicking my ass, & feeding off of me was fine? But what they did wasn't? It's only ok when you do it? Were you just pissed because somone else was touching your things? Hmm, Biersack? News flash, buddy. I'm not a possession, nor am I a piece of property. You don't own me." You spat, vemon dripping from every word. He growled & slammed his hands down on the bed on either side of your body. Making you jump. His face was right in yours, you could feel his hot breath on your lips.
"Yes, because I would never rape you, or kill you!" He paused, you opened your mouth to go off on him but he cut you off. "& As far as 'owning you' goes.. Oh, but I do." He smirked. "& That mark on your neck proves it.".
"What are you talking about?" You asked, angry & confused.
"It hasn't faded, has it?" You thought about it for a second, then shook your head.
"No.."
"That's because it was no ordinary bite.. I marked you. That mark, is permanent, & it is a symbol to all other creatures that you are off limits. To all but me, of course. Technically, that mark DOES mean, I own you." You just stared at him, your eyes wide with shock.
"When did you.. Why did you.." You stuttered. He paused for a second & his smirk faded. From his lips & his eyes.
"The other night, in the alley. I originally was out to kill, but then I saw you cry, & I couldn't do it. As I said before, I may not be human, but I'm not heartless. & I don't know why, but it killed me to even think about harming you anymore than I already had. I felt terribly guilty for hurting you in the first place. I don't know what came over me, & I don't know why, but when I saw the fear in your eyes. The tears, streaming down your face, I wanted to protect you. From creatures like me, & creatures far worse, so I marked you. Rather than feeding off of you. & Now, you belong to me. You're not quite like.. My property though. More like my resposibilty. Which is why it pissed me off so much that you nearly got hurt tonight.." Your mouth was hanging open, you were in shock. You had no idea what was going on.
*I'm going to need therapy after this..*
"So that's why you were so pissed tonight. Not only was I careless but-"
"But I failed to protect you.." He dropped his gaze from you to the floor.
"You did save me, though." He looked back up at you & smiled, sheepishly then stood up & walked to the other side of the room. Then turned his back to you & stared out of your window.
"Ugh.. This is alot to process.." You said after a bit, falling back on your bed & rubbing your temples.
"Believe me, it's alot for me too." He said, turning & looking at you.
"So.." You said. "You bit the hell out of me, & scarred my neck forever because you cared / care about my safety?" You asked, after a long moment of awkward silence, turning your head to look at him. He just knodded.
"Sure is an odd way of showing affection, don't you think?" He chuckled, as did you. Then, the next thing you knew, he was hovering over you again.
"This better?" In less than a second, his full lips were on yours.
