Before You Knew Jinxx...

“SARA!! WAKE UP!!” Ugh. There goes Shaina… I thought as I sat up in bed, looked at the time, and plopped back on my bed, covering my head with my pillow. Shaina is my 15-year-old little sister. She thinks she’s the shit because she is now in high school. Poor naïve girl… I’ve tried showing her the ropes of high school, but she doesn’t want to hear it. She’ll just have to find out the hard way, I guess. “SARA!!” Shaina continued. “SHUT THE FUCK UP SHAINA!! I’LL GET UP WHEN I WANT TO GET UP!” Honestly I couldn’t care less about school, but I have to keep going. I have to be the first to graduate high school in my family! I honestly don’t get how neither of my parents did. But I am NOT going to end up in welfare when I am older. I won’t let my kids go through that, like I am now. “Come on Sara!! Let’s get to school!!” Shaina kept going. “Could you yell a little louder next time? I couldn’t hear you the first time.” I said sarcastically to Shaina as I opened my door, to find her standing there. I didn’t have time to do my hair or makeup, and I could NOT go to school without it. “You look like shit, Sara.” Shaina said. “Gee, thanks. I’m not going to school like this.” I said, almost to myself. “Tough shit, Sara!” “SHAINA DON’T YOU DARE SAY THAT TO ME!!” I said. I was not in the mood to take her shit. She is such a wannabe prep. I walked down to the kitchen, and grabbed a Monster, a cookie, and some skittles. So healthy, I know. I went out to the car, and Shaina was in the driver’s seat. “What the hell are you doing there, Shaina?” I asked her. She didn’t even have her permit yet. “Mom is letting me take the car!” She said happily. “Of course she is…” I whispered to just myself. My Mom hasn’t been the same since Dad died. It’s been two years, but Mom is the same. She lets us do whatever we want, which sounds great, and sometimes is. Shaina acts like she is amazing for getting Mom to say yes to drive the car, but she’s not. Mom would say yes if I asked her if I could get drunk and get pregnant. So she’s not very reliable. She mostly just lies in bed all day, watching her show, “How I Met Your Mother”. “Alright, well get in the car then” I told Shaina. Shaina hopped in, laughing. I wondered why she was laughing, when I looked down at her phone. It was plugged into the player, and she was going to play her music. I could feel the headache coming already.
