Survival or Struggle?

CC was okay, well, somewhat anyways. CC looked tired, sweaty, hair sticking to his face. All in all, he seemed that he had a rough time, wherever he had been. Jinxx brought over an unconscious Andy and smiled at CC, who looked at Andy with wide eyes. Ashley helped him up and faced Jinxx, who was looking down at Andy a little worriedly. Jake gave CC back his scythe, who smiled in thanks. They needed to find a room, or someplace to lay low until Andy woke up. But they didn't have the time. Plus, now that they had CC back, they wanted to get out as fast as humanly possible. But having one unconscious member on their hands, it wasn't going to be easy. With one last uneasy look at Andy, CC started walking, the others not far behind.

They had to use their short-range weapons, having their guns either lost, broken, or run out of ammo. By the time they had gotten to the end of the hallway, they were covered in more gore. And seeing as they had to protect Jinxx because he had a still unconscious Andy, it was a bit harder to slice and dice zombies and other creatures. CC leaned against the way at the end of the hall, clearly struggling slightly with something. Ashley looked at the others, a bit worried. CC usually was the crazy one, the one that got them to laugh. Right now, he was doing anything but making them laugh. It felt so wrong. They hadn't gotten a chance to ask what happened to CC while they were trying to find him.

"CC? You all right man?" Jake asked CC, brow furrowing in increased worry.

"Yeah, I'm fine man." CC said, waving off his concerns and tried to smile. Which really seemed like a grimace. Which made Jake almost grimace in return.

They started walking again after that, lights flickering in an omen, making CC flinch. Ashley put a comforting hand on the drummer's shoulder, feeling how warm he was. It made Ashley's concern skyrocket and looked at Jake and Jinxx. They looked just as concerned, but couldn't really do anything about it at the moment. So they carried on, flinching as the lights continued to flicker. Andy woke up just in time to have a tall creature get in their way. Oh how perfect, just what they needed. They heard the loudspeaker turn on and Ashley swore he heard CC growl.

"Hello little guinea pigs. Thought you could get away, did you? Well, if I have anything to say about it, you won't. The creature in front of you is something of my greatest creations. Built like a tank, bullets won't hurt it and other weapons won't injure it either. I'll leave you to figure out its weakness. Not that I think you'll have long enough to figure it out." the doctor said cackling before the loud speaker cut out.

"You think with how he talks and acts, you think he would come out of wherever he's hiding." Andy said rubbing the back of his head, wincing.

"Yeah, real shame." CC snapped at him, making Andy raise a concerned brow in enough time to move back as the creature advanced. So, no bullets and weapons could kill it. So what would? They would have to be creative, it's not like they weren't.

CC moved around, his movements confirming his agitation. What was wrong with his friend? He wasn't normally known to snap at people. Andy got out of that mindset and dodged a long arm coming towards him. The creature was thin as a pole, tall as one, and the arms betrayed how strong it actually was: skinny but powerful. What were they supposed to do with a seemingly indestructible creature? CC dodged a rather powerful hit, the punch went against the wall and caused the room to shake, almost knocking all of them off their feet, sans CC. all right, another thing that was strange. CC seemed to be able to withstand the shaking, locking his knees and waiting for the room to stop shaking.

Andy looked at Ashley, Jake and Jinxx, who were a few feet away from each other. They shrugged, obviously seeing something in CC that had changed. CC seemed to be taking the fight all by himself, which made Andy want to smack him. Andy looked back at CC, who was moving at a very nimble pace around the creature.

"CC! Get away from there!" he shouted at CC.

The shout seemed to be ignored and the lead singer growled in frustration and launched himself at CC. He heard the other shout to get him to come back, but Andy wasn't leaving without his friend and band mate. He grabbed CC's shoulder and pulled him, well more like dragged, and slammed CC into the wall. He was hurting, scared, tired, and frustrated. All of that made Andy want to shake the man in front of him.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" he asked, shouting at him.

Wasn't the best time to do this, but what was wrong with CC to think he could take on something that was slowly rumbling towards them? CC didn't answer, but Andy swore that CC's eye color was different. But he would have to worry about that later. He looked at the creature and his other three band mates and the all booked it into the nearest room, shoving CC in there with them. He barricaded the door and he breathed out a breath of agitation. There was a lot of that today.

The creature was banging on the door. They were all searching frantically, until Ashley pulled out a jar with a muddy looking liquid inside. It seemed like some acidic liquid. No reason for something that wasn't harmful to be in there. Jinxx took it and Andy moved away from the door. The creature destroyed the door in a matter of seconds after that. Jinxx threw the jar and it shattered on the creature's face. Or what looked like its face. It shrieked and screamed, rearing back with pain. There was a lot of shrieking and shaking from the creature stumbling around. But after a few moments, nothing. Jake went and looked out of where the creature went and came back inside with a grimace.

"Is that...thing dead?" Ashley asked. Jake nodded, looking a little green.

"Jake, you all right man?" Andy asked.

"Its head is gone. Whatever that stuff was, it was caustic." Jake said, shuddering. The others grimaced.

"Well, come on, let's get out of here." Jinxx said. CC didn't seem to want to do that, which seemed out of the ordinary. And it was pissing everyone off, even Jinxx. He was practically the most patient person Andy had come to know. That crazy doctor had done something to CC, they just didn't know what. And that scared each and every one of them. What if CC turned on them and hurt them? Or worse? Jinxx looked at CC more carefully.

"CC, tell us what happened." he said softly.
