Kissing the Concrete

Chapter 5: Deja vu

The yelling. The screaming. The mocking. The tears.

After staying on the floor for several minutes with Andy's arm wrapped around me I realized all the hurtful things he had done towards me. Tears came streaming down my face and I felt his grip tighten around me.

"Please don't touch me. Just don't."

He immediately let go of me as of respect.

"Iris I-"

"I really gotta leave, like, now. I don't understand why you're doing this, but just stop playing these games with me. I don't want this. I don't want you to comfort me. You're the only reason I need comfort in the first place."

I grab my books and leave the bathroom stall, drying up the tears that has escaped my eyes. Quickly passing the stairs, I reach my locker, reaching deep down in my pocket for the keys. Where is it? Have I lost it?

Just as I found the key, I hear the sound of a bell. Last period is over, and I am in a danger zone of harrassement from a certain gang.

"Hey Feeney..." Ashley said mockingly. I froze completely. He was right behind me, and I had no way of protecting myself. His hand grabbed my shoulder and forced me to turn around.

"Could you just peacefully leave me alone Ashley?"

"And my incentive to do that is what?" He said, with a smirk on his face.

"Why are you always doing this to me? I haven't done anything to you!"

"It's just so hard not to make fun of you, you know?" Christian answered for him.

This comment made me so mad. But I wasn't gonna let it get to me. Not this time. I tried walking away but I suddenly felt two hands grab my hips.

"Oh no princess, you ain't going nowhere." Ashley whispered into my ear.

"Back of Purdy. Just let her go. Girl's been through enough shit already." Andy had caught up on me and was standing right next to me.

"Geez, since when did you become defendant of her?"

"Since right now."

His gaze met mine as I quickly deserted the area, and I suddenly recalled the night I almost got raped. I remember the blue eyes that were sparkling through the darkness and the voice that told me to run. He had saved me that night. He was my saviour.

Notes

Kind of a short and shitty chapter, but I just wanted to update before I went to bed. The one line that Christian has in this chapter was inspired by a quote from an acquaintance of mine. I've really been writing a lot on this, but I just wanna get a good base for continuing this story.

Comment below if you enjoy it so far, it means a lot ;)
