What do we do with a love like this?

--Morgan’s POV--

After I delivered the food to Miki, Ashley and I went back downstairs to the couch. He pulled me close to him and I laid in his lap.
“Hey, Morgan?”
“Hm?” I responded, looking into his eyes.
“You never talk about your parents that much. Like, I haven’t heard you ever speak of anyone besides your mom now and then.” Ashley asked and I tensed in his arms.
“I...I uh...I d-didn’t exactly have a good relationship with my Father…” I said to him, biting my lip and breaking eye contact.
“What do you mean?” He asked. I thought for a bit.
“When I was really young he was always away for work. Then when I got older, around the age of 11, he quit his job. He smoked and drank a lot...And...And it wasn’t good. He-he just wasn’t a good guy…” I responded, staring at my feet. I didn’t want to get into much detail. He nodded and kissed my forehead.
“Ok, thanks for explaining,” Ashley said. I shrugged.
