Left Broken

Goodbye High School

Graduation. The next big milestone, and the last one of my senior year. My parents, my brother, and Gus will all be there to watch me walk across the stage to get that diploma that I worked so hard for.

I arrive at the school and immediately start taking selfies with all my friends and classmates. 100 something photos line my camera roll on my phone as I look around at everyone who is eager to be finished with high school. I hangout with Jason, Troy, Mitch. Then I hangout with Kathy. Then I even see Ray, Tat, and Val. As the time gets closer I think back on my senior year. Jason, Kathy and Troy were always there for me, ever since day one. I lost friends along the way, only to gain them back as we realized that we were supposed to be done with high school drama. I gained new friends, and have had some of the best experiences of my time in high school. I relive all these memories as we get in line. Then the line begins to move, towards our friends and families, towards our futures...

"Chloe Fents"
I walk across the stage, applause greets me as I shake some strangers hand. Then comes Stallion, my guidance counselor, the guy who rooted for me to make it, for all of us to make it. Who even though we weren't close, the one person I know I could always come too when life got to be to crazy for me to handle. The man who is a father figure to me.
"Congratulations" he tells me
"Thank you papa." I tell him as I hug him and tears come to my eyes.

"I present to you the graduating class of 2014!"
Cheers erupt from all of us as we realize we did it! We graduated!
We go outside to take our photo. We take the serious ones, them comes the moment every senior waits for... The photographer counts down, and when he gets to 1, we toss our caps, and he captures the moment for us to remember for the rest of our lives!
