Left Broken
It's All Over
Kathy zooms down the road, in a hurry to get to a cop. She even flagged one down! This girl has balls!
"Can you help me, my friends ex just pulled 4 knives on us." She says as traffic builds up behind us and the police officer.
"I can't help you I have a prisoner in my back seat but go to the station and they can help you." he tells us.
Of course she would be the one to flag down a cop with a criminal in the backseat, that's just our luck. I'm still shaking as I sit in the seat replaying everything that just happened. We get to the station and I get out of the car and Troy is there. He hugs me and tear-less sobs escape me as I confess to my best friend.
"I have never been that scared. I am still shaking."
I don't get to enjoy his comfort long because Kathy is already across the lot in a hot pursuit for the door. We go in and call from the phone and an officer comes to talk to us. We tell him everything that happened and he gives us our options. We decide to do both options and head out to the car.
We are instructed to park down the street from the property and wait for police. I decide to sit in the back with Troy so that he can try to get me to stop shaking. And just the warmth of his arms and strong embrace comfort me and let me know that nothing bad is going to happen now. We see the first police car and decide to follow. We pull up and there are already two other officers. Gus' grandfather sits outside in confusion, finishing up a cigarette. When I walk up he cracks a joke and I laugh realizing that I'm going to miss his family.
"I'm really sorry about this Buck, Gus pulled 4 knives on us earlier and we came to get some of my stuff." I explain
Pure shock crosses his face as he asks "Where was I?"
"You were passed out on the couch." I laugh
He gives us permission to go inside and we go to look only to find nothing. So my only option would be to sue him for my stuff. We thank Buck and the officers and apologize for wasting their time. I tell Buck goodbye and fight the sadness that comes with knowing I will never see this family, one that I sometimes wished was my own, ever again...
Gus thought that us breaking up would leave me broken. When in all honesty... HE was the one that ended up being Left Broken.

The End!
The next chapter is an "alternative ending". But I want your opinion with what I should do with it.
Should I have it where I won the sweepstakes and get to spend 2 days with Andy, Juliet, and the guys on their tour bus, or a more realistic ending where I meet them at Warped Tour during a TEI workshop and talk about it there?
