The Boy With The Blue Eyes

After School 3

The bell signaling home time rung, and the classes emptied out into the corridors of school, students shouting and laughing, glad to be getting out of 'Hell', as Angel liked to call it. Once they were out of their form room, Sam hugged Angel and winked at her before turning in the opposite direction with a swish of her skirt, and leaving to go home. Andy and Angel walked out of school in silence, until they were outside and out of sight of the other pupils. They had been walking for a few minutes when Andy turned to Angel and asked nervously, "So... What were you and Sam talking about at lunch?" "Oh, uh, nothing, just our drama assessment." Angel replied, playing with the strap on her bag, and feeling herself blushing. Andy nodded and looked down at his shoes. Angel felt bad for not telling him the truth, but she didn't feel ready yet, and she didn't want to rush into anything without him feeling the same. Angel looked up and said, "Hey, are we still on for later, little spider monkey?" She nudged him, and winked. "Did you seriously just quote Twilight?" Andy laughed, stepping away from Angel. "Oh, no, I- I was joki-" "I know, don't worry." Andy smiled, flicking his hair out of his eyes. Angel noticed his bangs were getting long, so now his eyes weren't so immense when she saw them. She wasn't sure if this was a good thing or not; she'd started feeling some kind of comfort in his bright blue eyes. Later, Andy and Angel were once again sitting at the top of the tallest tree in the forest behind their gardens. Andy lay back slightly against the tree trunk, and Angel leaned back and rested her head on his shoulder. She felt him wrap his arm around her waist, and she placed her hand on his chest. They looked into each other's eyes, and Angel laughed slightly, looking down at her feet which were dangling over the side of the branches. "Tell me about yourself," Andy said, "and I'll tell you about me?" "Sure," Angel replied, "well, me and mum moved here to Ohio when I was seven, to get away from certain things and people. We're from a crappy little place in England, hence the accent, called Dagenham." "Oh, I suppose that must've been hard for you?" Andy asked politely. "It kind of was, I suppose. I don't really remember much about it though... And well, as you know, I have more of an interest in the different, rather than tagging along with the crowd, which includes my taste in music, fashion, etc. I hate school, and the only thing that keeps me going there is Sam and the high expectations my mum keeps of me. Your turn." She smiled, and gave him a small nudge. Andy took a deep breath and started, "I've always lived in Ohio, but me and my dad decided to move away from where we previously lived, because of... Personal problems... Like you, I share an interest in the different, and music is one of my main factors. I haven't really had many friends growing up, just this one, Chance, he's pretty awesome, but we had to move away so I probably won't see him much more." He shrugged, and asked, "So anyway, what were you really talking about with Sam at lunch?" Andy grinned. Angel lifted her head off of his shoulder and stammered, "Oh, um, n-nothing, just, it was, um..." "Don't worry, you can tell me anything, trust me." Andy smiled. Angel could see into his eyes again, they were comforting, and she felt like she was ready to tell him. "Well, the thing is, I kind of maybe really like you more than I'd first anticipated... Oh gosh- I hope this isn't awkward or anything, and I-" Andy placed his hand under her chin, and turned her head towards his. "I kind of maybe really like you more than I'd first anticipated too." He laughed, and kissed her soft lips gently. Angel smiled, and kissed him back. She looked up at his eyes. They were an even more powerful blue than usual, they looked as if they were going to burst. Angel couldn't stop staring at him. He really was different.
