The Ugly Duckling
You Miss a Step
" MARY!!!!" MARY!!!!" calling for my love.
" Ash," turning around sharply thinking it was Mary, but it was only Andy.
" What Andy?" I tried to hide my pain of my broken heart but she left me. She left in the shadows that I knew would take her from me.
" Ash, it's time that we leave. I know that she will come out when it is time." he was trying to reassure me but this hollow feeling in my heart, it doesn't feel right with out her in my arms.
" I know, but the fact that she let the darkness consume her, it's not something that sits will in my heart." We slowly walked to the bus.
" Dude, Mary and you are so strong that you will get through this, she's probably trying to fix herself. You never know, she maybe an angel just waiting for her wings to heal." Andy always knows what to say but as he boarded the bus, I turned back to the shadow that hovered next to the lilies, which are Mary's favorite.
~~~" Mary, where ever you are I will always love you, but so you know, you miss a step, love." Calling out to the wind, and as I boarded the bus leaving my old life behind, only hoping Mary fallows when she learns her moves, I heard something, " Be good, my Outlaw, I will join you soon," smiling as I knew who it was.

Ash must have know that I was by my lilies. But as I watched him board, using my last bit of strength I spoke, " Be good, my Outlaw, I will join you soon." If only I knew what soon meant I would've kept it within. Praying now that as my strength withers, I hope my grandfather will help me control my powers..... but I all I have is hope now.
