You're so lucky....

I woke with a text from an unknown number, it saying “Hello, umm is this [Name]? I was wondering because I have been looking through yearbooks and saw this number in one of them. If this is [Name] then please write back!” I got confused, but I wrote back to the unknown number. “Um...yes this is [Name], who are you?” about a second later the person typed back “Oh I am Skyler, do you remeber me from high school?” “Yes, I think so. Didn’t we used to be best friends?” “Yea, I missed those days. Don’t you.” “I don’t know, I kind of do. but high school was like hell for me…” “Same..” We texted back and forth both talking about high school and about meeting up sometime.


~A few days later~
Me and Andy were cuddling on the couch watching some old cartoons. When I heard a knock on the door. “I’ll get it Andy.” I said standing up and kissing him on the cheek. I unlocked the door and opened it. It was Skyler….

“Oh, hey Skyler I wasn’t really expecting you here today…” I said with a confused expression on my face. “Oh, yea I’m sorry I should have texted before I came. My bad!” “Yea it’s fine.” I looked back and saw Andy watching the whole conversation. I turned to face her. “Hey Skyler how about you come in for a while.” “Ok.” Andy sits up and makes room for me. Skyler sits down on one of our bar stools. “So, how have you been?” I said, but she gave no response. “Oh, so not to good?” She nods her head. “Well this is my boyfriend, Andy” “Hi” Her eyes widened. “T-That’s your b-boyfriend?” “Yup, is there something wrong?” “No not at all, it’s just. Wow...” Andy chuckled and I laughed, she just sat there smiling, but mostly looking at Andy.


About an hour past and she finally left. We talked for a long time, trying to catch up on recent activities in our lives. She has really been through a lot since high school…..
