Maybe there's still hope
This can't be happening.
I walked down the stairs after my shower feeling weird. I walked into the kitchen to see everyone minus Ashley sitting at the table.
" hey Jess" Andy said.
" where's the man whore?" I asked and they laughed.
" on his way" jake said
I nodded
" Austin's throwing a party Monday night want to come?" Jake asked . I got a cup of water and leaned against the counter sipping it.
" on a school night?" I asked and he laughed.
" we won't stay that late" Ella said and I shrugged.
" sure"
They cheered just as my phone went off.
" freaks" I said and took my phone out. It was John. I smiled , I really missed him.i pressed answer.
" hey John" I said and heard heavy breathing.
" Jessica..." It was Johnny's mom.
" carol, what's wrong is everything okay?" I asked. Everyone grew silent and looked at me.
"..It's John" she said and my heart thudded against my chest. I knew by her voice it was bad.
" what's wrong with John" I asked shakily.
"Jess.. He was in a car accedent.. He didn't make it. "she said. My ears rung. Tears came to my eyes.
I dropped the cup and it shattered. Jake and cc jumped up.
" no! No" I screamed tears coming out my eyes. Everyone looked at me.
" I know sweetie,"
" no he can't be gone no!"
" the funerals in 2 weeks come by a little earlier and you can have some his stuff" she said sadly and broken. I felt my body go numb. I saw jake standing in front of me calling me. Cc was rubbing my shoulder. He ripped the phone out of my hands and I heard talking. Everyone looked at me.
No this can't be happening. I pushed past then and ran to the door. I heard shouting but my ears couldn't make out words. I opened the door and saw Ashley getting from his car.
Tears blurred my vision and I took off.

Cc's pov:
She stood frozen as jake took the phone he hung up his mouth wide.
" what is it?!" Jinxx asked.
I rubbed Jess's shoulder.
" Johnny he died" jake said and I froze. No. The girls looked shocked as did everyone else. Jess pushed past us and ran to the door.
" Jess!!" Jake screamed.
I took after her. Ashley was outside confused as Jess was going to the street.
" ash!! Help me catch her" I yelled and he took off down the street with me.
" what happened?" He yelled next to me.
" John died" I spoke and he pushed harder. We needed to get her.

Jessica's pov:
I heard footsteps following me but I ran faster. I didn't know where I was going but I didn't care.I pushed past people who gave me dirty looks and ran into a park. I heard shouts behind me.
" Jess stop!" It was Ashley.
I looked behind me and saw cc and Ashley. I pushed harder jumping over a tree branch. I took a sharp left and tripped over my feet sending me crashing to the ground. I saw cc and Ashley 20 feet away. I stumbled up and went to run just as someone grabbed my shirt and pulled me to them. They turned me around and I saw Ashley ,cc was shortly behind him. I clung to his chest shaking like crazy. Tears poured out as I sobbed into his chest.
" Jess" he said rubbing my hair. Cc caught up and joined us.
" he-he's gone" I stuttered and they clung to me . My body was numb. My chest felt like it was on fire. My mind was fuzzy and I felt dizzy. My knees gave out and Ashley kept me up.
" let's get home" cc said. They let go and cc wrapped his arms around me. I clung to him and walked in a daze.
I couldn't believe it. I just wanted to wake up but I knew it wasn't a dream.
.John was dead.
