Blood Thirsty

*Andy's POV*

I sat on the couch, dagger on the end table next to me, and Jinxx sleeping peacefully with his head on my lap. He looked so cute when he was asleep. He looked so stress free, and innocent. I jolted up, grabbing my knife when I heard something move in the house. Jinxx woke up at my sudden movement, rubbing the sleep away. He sat up, looking at me with a scared look on his face. "Andy, I want you to leave. I don't want you to get hurt. They're after me, not you." He whispered, hugging me. I looked at him, obviously offended. "How could you say that, Jinxxy! I'm going to stay by your side, to the end!" I said. He looked at me, sadness in his eyes. "Andy, there's something that I haven't told you...." He whispered, sorrow laced in his words. "What is it, Jinxx? You can read me." I say, a little hurt that he has been keeping something from me. He hesitated, before speaking. "Well, when my uncle was a teenager, he was turned into a vampire. He, first, hated himself. When he found out that my mother was pregnant with me, he put all of his time into research on vampires, trying to learn as much as he could about the thing he had become. He put all of his research in a book, which he gave to me before he was killed in a house fire. The book has almost everything that you need to know about vampirism, including how to cure it." He said softly. Wait, he knows how to cure vampirism?!?!?! "No, we're not curing anybody! The reason why he gave the secret to me. In the process, the vampire is left a zombie, half alive and half dead. If this falls into the wrong hands-" "It would be a catastrophe for the vampire race." A voice, thick with a Romanian accent, spoke out of the darkness. Jinxx and I both jumped, grabbing each other's hands. Two men stepped into the light of the moon. I drew my sword, growling deeply. "You have nothing to fear, Andrew and Jeremy. We come in search of the book." He said, holding his hands out for a sign of peace. I looked at him, confused. "You can't have it! I was told to never give it to anyone, accept for the queen!" Jinxx growled, showing his teeth. "We are the three other members of the elders council. We serve the queen and was sent here by her. She's currently watching over your friends, because they were in grave danger." The other man said, he had a thick Scottish accent. "If you want to give it to the queen directly, than fine. Grab the book and come with us." He continued. I watched Jinxx as he tensed up, but then reluctantly walked over to the bookshelf, and pulled out a book that read 'The complete works of Edgar Allan Poe' and reached in behind it, pulling out a beat up leather bound book. He put it in his pocket, then walked over to me. "I'm sorry, batman. I wanted to tell you, but I had made a promise to my uncle." He said before kissing my lips softly. I smiled at him, understanding the situation. He started to leave, but I grabbed his hand. He looked at me, confused. "I'm with you to the end, Jinxxy." I said, kissing him softly. He smiled, and lead us to the car that the two men were in. He fell asleep on my shoulder during the 16 hour flight to Romania.
